There's nothing wrong with supporting a fighter from your country, there is something wrong with defending a fighter's actions and blaming the other side simply because that fighter is the same nationality as you. As if having a British passport makes Haye immune to criticism! Of course other groups of fans do this too, like the Mayweather and Pac fans, but in my opinion Haye's fans that behave this way are by far the most ignorant and delusional.

Calling Haye's nuthugging fans delusional ****s is offensive but if the shoe fits...

Rushman I am not a professional boxer.

I havent lived that life , but both Haye and Mundine have.

A conman or a scammer is a person who doesnt do something for real. These two have.

If we didnt buy it they wouldnt be able to sell it.

Also to be honest you sound bitter , and its not a good side to a person.

I am pretty successful now , started with nothing , but didnt need to steel it , but did need to take everything and every opportunity.

Bitter? That's one way of looking at it.

Do I like seeing people taken advantage of? No.

Do I like seeing people who enjoy being taken advantage of? No.

Do I like seeing people profit at the expense of something I love? No.

Ultimately the first two are not my problem, and I should not let that bother me. However I see that particular angle of human psychology as being extremely frustrating - it is the same as you find in politicians who lie to their constituents (who vote them back in afterwards) or men who abuse women (who keep going back for more). There is nothing good about that mindset. Mutually destructive relationships are so counter-intuitive and illogical, I just can't tolerate them.

The third point does affect me. There are many, many reasons why boxing is no longer a mainstream sport. Some are understandable, such as society's shifting values. Others are not forgivable, such as the greed and corruption of sanctioning bodies. The antics of Haye are just another thing to sap at the credibility of boxing.

Technically you are correct. It was a majority decision, not a split decision.

Yet his underlying point remains the same. Fights with very close results often cause demand for a rematch.

Of course, he meant this sarcastically - and the underlying message is accurate.

No-one wants to see a rematch between Haye and Valuev, but it may happen. If it does, then the "close decision demands a rematch" angle will certainly be used.

So despite a technicality in his post, his point is true and overall well made. It also hasn't really been rebutted. Of course, it is easier to pick on technicalities like spelling or grammar rather than to consider the underlying point - especially if the point is valid.

MD and SD are different fight outcomes. Spelling and grammar doesn't come into it.

Valuev has done nothing in the last 4 years (or his entire career) to suggest he should be anywhere near a HW title. It's over for him, and he isn't stupid enough to think he can beat Haye, or any of the top 10 guys, basically.

Yes, they are different fight outcomes. That is why they have different names. Which is why you are technically correct.

However, picking up on an error in someone's post and yet ignoring the message that they were delivering, is akin to picking up on spelling or grammatical errors. Technically correct, yet it would probably be more worthwhile as an aside when discussing what they actually were talking about.

Yet apparently he would step into the ring with Vitali for the right money. Fighters who are at the end of their careers are often happy to get a last, huge payday. Look at Briggs. Toney has been asking for it for ages.

I can't think of any reasons for Valuev not to want a rematch.

it'll be boystov...the wba i/c champion will count as a mandatory...altho haye will get screwed on the money...it's a shame that chagaev can't fight in the uk cos of his hep & haye can't fight outside the uk cos of his contract with sauerland. that would be a really good fight.

Haye has been trying to get out of his mandatory with Chagaev for a long time now. Boytsov will knock Haye out, so Haye will get fight with Holyfield for huge payday. British fans a delusional.
