Was this a cheapshot by Maidana (Ortiz fight)?

I couldn't tell that's what Ortiz was doing, if that's what he was doing, perhaps Maidana didn't notice either.

Yea it was a cheapshot. Maidana's a badass, but Ortiz was beating his ass and if Ortiz boxed alittle smarter he might of won. He basically didn't have the heart to continue. I think Ortiz can beat him in a rematch. He's ready to beat Maidana.

 

You never know when you're fighting a guy in the opposite stance. Extending his jabbing hand at you might mean he's checking or measuring you to set up his hook or cross.

I don't even think he was trying to touch gloves. Why would he it's the 6th round? I could see a point in the first and 12th round but not the 6th.

I hate seeing fighters being overly nice to each other anyway. I love a fight when both fighters have a clear disdain towards each other. Makes the fight much more personal.

 

i thought Maidana did a lot of dirty tactics in that fight, maybe he was in beast mode after getting put down twice and wasn't thinking.
