Both are gifted fighters but Naseem had more savvy as a boxer and had a more powerful punch. If he had Pacquaio's drive and work ethic, could he have gone up 8 divisions like Pacquaio?

No, he couldn't. Pacquiao is a once in a lifetime fighter. Naseem was just good.

You've been a member since 2006....and yet you know **** about boxing....Hamed was past his prime when he fought Barrera....His lack of motivation....change of trainers.....leeches....all contributed to his downfall....

Naseem Hamed was overrated and got embarrassed in his prime, he was good for boxing though & belongs in the hall of fame, but he's not on the level of Pacquiao. Don't make excuses for Hamed, even Hamed doesn't make excuses for himself, Hamed was a class act after defeat.

    Hamed lacks fundamentals

His style doesn't work against high level boxers

I'm a Pacfan but at 126, i feel its undeniable that prime Naseem seemed to show more talent than Pacquaio. His evasive skills, one punch power and his speed was something special when he fought Badillo and Hardy.

He lost motivation and believed in his own hype, rather than train for the fight of his life. As it is, he still went 12 rounds with a prime Barrera.

he would have to change religions and wear a cross, and keep training instead of praying in a room full of unshaven men to start with.
