First of all, he don't know if there's a difference, that doesn't mean there isn't any difference. The WADA list is easy to find, but it doesn't tell what methods of testing you should use. It's different from one sport to another, and boxing don't have a universal standard, it's not Pac or Floyd's fault, but it's an issue that's partly stopping this fight from materializing

Dude you're not reading things clearly, they said they use the WADA list of prohibited substances which means that whatever is on that list is banned by them, that doesn't mean their tests detect them, because they don't, all that means is if they happen to pick something up in urine they will look at that list that's all that means.... MLB has had HGH as a banned substance as well for years ,but MLB blood tests don't detect HGH. It's a PR stunt man, the reason why the NSAC doesn't do blood testing is because of the money it costs for Olympic style testing it's that simple. That article clearly states what I've been trying to tell you which is that NSAC testing doesn't detect HGH.....HGH is only detected by olympic style testing don't really know what more I can say to you...HGH is the best PED out there.

Good post. Honestly, I think the fact that they insist on it is that they regard Pac's recent achievements and perforamances as a serious danger for May's "O".

They are not 100% sure in themselves.

Nice try. But the premise is that Floyd can easily outbox a Manny on PEDs.

You seem to be saying that Floyd cannot easily outbox a Manny on PEDs, which is fine, but hardly addresses the question.

That's fine, but what you're saying essentially is that it's a 50/50 fight with Manny on PEDs.

But that's not the premise of the thread. The premise of the thread is that Floyd can easily outbox a Manny on PEDs.

you are in a violent sport where you are literally putting your life and livlihood on the line, I can only speak for myself I wouldn't risk my lifes work/legacy, livlihood, or possibly my quality of life on a cheat. Regardless whether I could win or not, the point is why would I even take that risk? PBF isn't dumb in reference to boxing, he and his team are aware that in a boxing ring anything can happen on a given night, if he were to be beaten I'm sure it would be important to know that he lost to the better man fair and square. The "who cares if he's on PED's" logic is ****ing pathetic, IMO. Even if PBF took the fight anyway, I CARE, you should care, the people that held titles prior to either of these guys ever stepping in a ring care, not to mention the legal ramifications. This isn't a blow off, brush aside, non issue.

First, You didn't quite get what I was saying. I didn't say "who cares if he is on PEDs". There is no evidence that he is. I was saying "suppose for the sake of argument that Pac is on PEDs". It's a rhetorical device only.

Second, I agree that boxing is a risky sport. But if Pac is a crude and unskilled fighter, then the risk to Floyd is presumably quite small. But the risk of not fighting Pac is enormous, from a legacy standpoint. Mayweather is being completely eclipsed by what has become in Pac a worldwide phenomenon and now the most celebrated and awe-inspiring fighter of the last 20 years.

So, IF Floyd could easily outbox Pac (even one on PEDs) then it would seem to be a no-brainer from Floyd's standpoint to make the fight happen.

Alternatively, if Floyd and his camp believe that their chances of beating Pac are small (e.g. 10-20%) then their best move is to not fight Pac and instead retire. This would be like cutting one's losses. That is, is they would take a huge hit in historical/legacy sense, but this would still be better than losing, probably in brutal fashion, to Pac.

You are ignorant. I didn't bring the "ghettoese" into the debate Don King did. Maybe you should get mad at him? He said he could talk the Mayweather's language, as opposed to Golden Boy Productions.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=AmfI3ah3g9ID98zK9FKVcko5nYcB?slug=ki-floydking091410

“They don’t speak ghetto-ese like Floyd Mayweather does, do you understand?” King stated. “I mean, that’s like hieroglyphics to them. So they may talk to the man like they’re talking down to the man. Talking around the man. Or looking at the man in a condescending manner, you know what I mean? They look at him like he’s an indentured servant when in actuality he’s the hottest thing on the planet.”---Don King

    http://www.examiner.com/boxing-in-l...-be-embarrassed-for-associating-with-don-king

Obviously, in Floyd Jr's case he has a bunch of YES MEN around him that fuel his IMAGINED FEARS... Don King would help remove his DOUBT...

It's not my fault you're IGNORANT... :smoke

I would assume we could all agree that "easily outbox" is boxer speak. In theory "easily outbox" is a relative term, I mean by easily outbox does that mean he would win 8-4, 12-0, 7-5 but with little damage, that is in the context of the user. That being said, he isn't going to easily beat him to the point that it's not an issue if he cheats or not. It's an issue, and it's a valid and legitmate issue. I do think PBF would win the fight with or without PED's, so while it may be easy for me to say "**** it fight him", I'm not the one that has to live with the possible negative outcomes. That being said I can appreciate the impact of the potential negative outcomes for either fighter and I believe that they owe it to each other, the fans, and the sport in general to erase any possibility of doubt and/or speculation about PED's or any other form of cheating. I don't know that it wouldn't be worse for boxing, if Pac did win, then be found to be a cheat at a later time. Now you've destroyed two "legends" and in that scenario our generation is left with little to nothing in terms of overall contribution to boxing, as the two most iconic fighters are tarnished. One by being beaten, the other by being a cheat, at that point the "losers" are us...why risk that? Take the tests eliminate any doubt, and lets make some history.

I appreciate the sincere effort to make sense of it. But what you're saying is essentially that Pac presents an extremely dangerous challenge to Mayweather.

But that is a concession that many Floyd advocates are unwilling to make.
