He had him in the 4th, but for some unknown and stupid reason he stopped punching Córdoba's body.

Sorry but Rigo still has quite a bit of work to do, after he got knocked down he seemed hesitant and got on his bike

Cuban boxing fans are so sensitive. They need a hug from their mother.

    shoulda. woulda, coulda........but he didnt...

still though, after 8 fights i'm relatively impressed, I just think some Cubans have him up on some sort of pedestal as though he should be already cleaning up the division, and the division above...

I agree Rigo was totally dominant in the first six rounds and it looked like a washout. But when Cordaba tagged him Rigo didn't seem to like it and was put on the back foot. The pressure there after was all coming from Cordoba as he took the fight to Rigo. Now credit must be given to Rigo for taking such a huge step up in class and the verdict was correct, he deserved the victory ( I scored it somewhere between 115;113 to 116;112) but his air of invincibility has been removed.

"His air of invincibility has been removed", nobody is invincible, and with only 7 fights, I think he is doing ok, he went 12 rounds against a world class ex-champ, and I didn't c cordoba taking the fight to him, he just followed him around the ring, and GR potshot him everytime he step in, actually he was hurt in the 11th with a straight lefthand, imo Rigo was not confident that he could go the full 12th rounds, that is why he pull back after the 6 round, it has nothing to do with the knockdow, it was a flash one and he was ok, he barely touch the canvas with his right glove, a knockdown for sure, did it hurt? I don't think so. I c 3 or 4 years of dominance do to his age, and that is what we Cubans fans should expect. Now for the others more younger Cubans fighters the sky is the limit.

He have him in the 4th round, why he didn't step up, is a mistery to me.

I definatly see Guillermo just getting better. He fought a difficult and skilled opponent with many advantages. His style might not be pleasing for the pros, but it's good enough to allow him to stay dominant. The scores there closer than how I saw the fight, IMHO. I really don't see anyone beating El Chacal at 122.
