Chavez, who also grinds Pac down to win by late stoppage.

Chavez. I also think Chavez might be able to beat Pac close but clear if it went to the cards.

On offence, I don't make the call. I think Chavez can thread punches better, but the thing is if they had a fight that skill might be taken from him somewhat because Pac just doesn't shell up in the way Chavez forced lots of guys to do. He'd be attacking and counter-attacking...put it this way, I think Pacquiao's offence would look better to the naked eye if they were in the ring together, and that this would keep it close on the cards.

Chavez. Pac gets hit very much. A fight between them would be very good though. I think Chavez´ superior defence will be the decider.

On the flipside, you can rest assured Chavez won't shell up the way Pac has forced some B and C list guys to do lately.

For sure. I think that Pac's style suits an all-action affair the better of the two though. Not that i'm making any kind of direct comparisons but against Margarito some of his most devastating stuff was landed during "exchanges".

Pacquiao, from the Diaz fight on up? Chavez would eat leather like he did against Taylor.

Paq. has a defense?? That's news to me... Great offensive windmill, but he's there to be hit.

The guy to my immediate left. had no trouble finding Manny's chin. just Paq. had too much offense for Marquez to handle. & the knockdown were the difference. Wont be an issue against Chavez. Chavez wears him down to a late rounds stoppage.

Chavez in his prime and a pretty good defense. By the mid '90's his defense was comparable to Manny's. It really detiorated, moreso than his offense. I think a 1990 version of Chavez could beat a Manny at 140lbs. It would be war, but Chavez better defensively at that point. I know Taylor landed alot against Chavez, but he was lighting fast, even faster than Pacquio.
