That's right, 12 rounds but with no rest in between rounds, that means 36 minutes of non-stop action. Which means: Your trainer won't be able to give you tips or help you out with a game plan, etc. And they won't aid you if you suffer cuts or swelling. Although they can still throw the towel if they see you're taking a beating. Which certain fights would have had a different outcome if this was the case? Also, which certain boxers would have advantages/disadvantages with it (as far as stamina goes). It might be a silly thread, but it's certaintly different and not another damn Floyd/Manny topic. Gentlemen..... DISCUSS!!!!
What the ****! Fighters would choose to be far more picky with the punches they throw thus making it the worst sport in existence.
Hate to mention them yet again but Floyd and Pac would more than likely still be the top guys! Pac's relentless would wear people down and few would match his stamina. Floyd also has great stamina and is great at defending and 'nicking a breather' as Hatton put it.
Not if you have guys like Floyd, Hopkins, Calzaghe, Wright, Calderon, Malignaggi, Clottey, I can go on and on and on.
The fights would get really boring after 12 minutes as the fighter would have gassed out already. Or they could pace themselves and it would be a very boring 36 minutes. That's how I see it.
