I have no complaints about this fight other than Berto having no defense and being a little inexperienced, but he has to step up eventually right. This will be the first time they fight an undefeated fighter since Jorge Solis and first time in years they fought a fighter with a long winning streak and Berto is the fastest opponent Manny will have fought.

    Lets make it happen

yes he fought for Haiti in the 2004 olympics, but if Pac fights him w/o a catchweight he'll def. get some respect from me, even though Berto isn't really proven

Floyd can't get a good pay day fighting Mosley again, so no point in Pac fighting Mosley.

Pacquiao needs to knock off the guys who could give Mayweather a decent payday, thus forcing the cowardly Floyd to fight Pacman.

So I would be very happy to see Pacquiao fight Berto, as I think Floyd might if Pac doesn't.

    Unlikely

Berto's people will likely demand no less than 30%
and Mosley would glady accept anything maybe as low as 10%

also a Mosley fight sells more to the mainstream public while a Berto fight only sells more to the boxing fan market.

It makes much more sense financial wise for Mosley than Berto and besides Mosley stands a better chance to beat Pac than Berto does.

Much rather see this fight than Mosley...i ain't one to care about the numbers etc...but even though Berto isn't a household name they could definitely make it marketable (undefeated, african american, sort of an unknown quantity...let's see him at his best, which one would assume he would be at vs. pac)

    I was joking.

But seriously, in alot of cases Hatians dont consider themselves to be African Americans. They consider themselves Haitan Americans.

    Whitaker yes. Martinez no.

Dont confuse Martinez's quickness with thinking he's slick.

TRUE slick fighters are Pernell, Benitez, Locche, prime Toney, Sumbu Kalambay, and yes.. Floyd.

kind of agree here. Berto will get completely outclassed. And Mosley is a big name which will generate a lot more money then Berto. I honestly don't really care for either fight. I'd rather see Pac Marquez if Floyd doesn't come out.

It's a pointless fight because Berto can't draw flies to **** as evidenced by the 974 attendance at his last fight. To be honest, I wouldn't mind watching him get KTFO within 4 rounds but that won't make for a very entertaining fight. At least a guy like Mosley could take some sustained punishment to give the fans more time for their money.

The winner of Martinez/Williams will be the best option if Mayweather Jr. pussies out again as expected.

Berto would be an interesting fight, for as long as it lasted. It may not be as marketable as Mosely, because, of Mosely's name recognition, but, it would be a step in the right direction for the sport, in general.

Berto is not a big draw. But, who will try to pass the torch to him? Oscar passed the torch, in terms of popularity, to both Pac and Floyd. It's time for them to give back to the game, IMO.

I doubt Arum and Co. take this fight though...greed will win out again.

I would be in favor of this fight and it can be competitive as well.
