    Must happen.

Williams looked great before the KO. I think that shot should definitely not remove Williams' luster. He was fighting much better in that fight than he was in the first one.

I want to see #3 if Martinez can't get Mayweather in the ring.

It's pointless for Williams right now. He needs several tune-ups before fighting at world level. This loss could effectively end his career at the top.

I aboard with the idea of a third fight. RJJ, got a third shot against Antonio tarver from a similar Ko. Williams, has earned a right at redemption.

Nah...no point in a rubber match, IMHO. That was no lucky punch. Sergio saw the opening and took it, that's all there is to it. Sergio needs to move on to bigger and better things.

It definitely should happen. Martinez caught him clean with a punch he didn't see.

But Williams was winning (not that it matters now)

Williams was pressing forward, not his normal style. A bit too aggressive. Maybe back off a bit he can make it a better fight.

He needs technical discipline. Without that, he's another embarrassing defeat waiting to happen at the elite level, especially against the likes of Martinez.

It would be the same outcome, Sergio has Williams number since the first fight which he won. Williams can't use his reach.

No way...when you get beat like that, absolutely not. And i'm a Paul fan. Just like Quintana didn't deserve a rematch, neither does Paul. He needs to stay at 154 and get some titles there. Also needs to hire Manny and drop Peterson. He has too many bad habits and it got exploited tonight. He walked right into that shot with his right hand down and got caught. Manny could probably fix that and have him use that jab. There is no reason he should get hit as much as he does with his physical attributes.

Williams got caught by the harder shots in the first round anyway. He wasn't doing specially well, Martinez shots were still harder. I do think there should be a third fight, but it's not like Martinez needs to give it to him now. He just fought Williams at the catchweight Williams wanted after imo beating Williams in the first fight too.

But we must remember Martinez caught Williams with a lot of similar shots in the first fight and Williams took them well. He just didn't see this one coming. But lets not act like he saw all of the ones in the first fight coming. This one was just one of those shot, but not a lucky punch at all. Martinez was well aware of what he was doing.

It was the second round for ****sake.

LukeO your appraisal in the RBR was even stupider than Manny Steward's, Williams was careless as hell as usual and got hit with several bombs in the first round.

no, not immediately. even though williams won the first rd, he, as the last fight and most of his fights, was getting hit too CLEANLY. this has been pwill problem. he is a tall freak, but he dosent use his height properly and has poor defense. with the exception of the first quitanan fight, pwill has gotten away with it but martinez just made him pay the ultimate price.

lets see pwill get back with a solid win first, then evaluate him. this was a devastating loss.

I like Paul, but I don't think an immediate rubbermatch is the right move for him right now. He should take a fight or two at 154, then either go after Cotto or the third fight with Martinez depending on how those go.

I don't think there needs to be a rubber match at all, but if it happens I'll be watching again as the same thing happens.
