:deal I've been saying it for years too. I also really believe that Kelly Pavlik would have been the first man to knock Williams out, had that fight came off. Too bad it didn't in Pavlik's case, because back then it would have helped him get his career more on track (post-Hopkins). Pav's win over Williams would have been similar to the Zertuche KO -- in my opinion. Considering his size, Williams gives away too much to his opponent in there.
that would have KOed almost anyone, perfect, on the button, right in the power zone...bam stfu with this glass jaw **** people get KOed...its boxing
that piece of crap video?....theres a lot more better video's on youtube.... On another note....to the poster......stfu, williams got a chin, got tagged so many times their last fight and couldve went down but didn't....even got tagged by cheto and his bricks and didn't go down.....***** jus got hit wit a solid punch, give martinez his props and williams for showin mad respect for congradulating him after.....coke head didn't say ish when that happened to him
Williams has just taken too much damage over rough fights that didn't have to be so difficult if he used some of his huge physical advantages. I felt that even Cintron could have gotten the job done from the way he looked in there but Kermit the Frog screwed himself by jumping out of the ring like a loser. He's basically a southpaw version of Margo without the same chin and a weaker puncher to boot.
It was a beautiful, perfectly timed shot to the jaw, as Williams was wide open and martinez took advantange of the opening. NOT A LUCKY PUNCH, it was timed and thrown in picture book fashion. Just like Bernard Hopkins shows how to do it in The Ring magazine.
The ****? If Paul Williams had a glass jaw, he would have about 5 or 6 losses already and wouldn't be close to any P4P lists. PTP is a man who throws a lot of punches and has gotten caught quite a lot over his career and in this fight he got caught with a perfect punch right on button. In comparison it's like what happen to Hatton, has no D, used pressure, blocked punches with his face, and he evenutally got KO'd brutally just like what happened here. Things like this happen in Boxing. Doesn't mean somebody sucks or somebody is great, it's just things like this happen.
Exactly..he was looking for that punch throughout the entire fight and I dont think anybody gets up from that punch. Paul is still a top fighter and had not been knocked out in any prior fights...its a bit disrespectful and ignorant to say he has a glass jaw
yep, williams wouldve went far if he had the chin of enzo macarenelli................................................................
Accumulated punishment over the course of a career can lead to guys getting knocked out by punchers they otherwise wouldn't have. Despite not having a ton of fights, Paul's got a good deal of mileage on him because of how he fights. I've posted before that he might not have much longer at the top level because of that, that his camp may have known this, and that's one reason they've been trying for a big payday so desperately. Even granite can get shattered if you chip away at it long enough and then hit it right. Paul's taken a lot of power shots in his career, and tonight, Sergio cracked him perfectly with a frightening hook that finished it. Glass jaw? Absolutely not. Just a warrior who's taken his knocks for us, the fans, and suffered a frightening knockout tonight at the hands of a better boxer who landed a perfect shot.
Seriously Zak? No wonder some want your crazy ass banned from the general He took a bomb, that he walked into and didn't see comming. Not many survive that. Now his body of work would suggest that he has a good chin. I like how you come back after the fact too, your glass jaw skill are erroding, must be losing your edge in your advanced years.
