I'm sure Baldomir has a glass chin too. Like Rock said, no matter how durable a guy is, if a fighter takes too many punches throughout their career then they're bound to experience a ko loss most likely. Marg has one, Baldomir has one, and now Williams has one. Remember Mayorga? He had one of the best chins and got KTFO by Mosley. Glass chins? No. They have taken too much damage in their careers and payed for it.
I'll disagree with the chin-checker on these two even if they might be spot on with old man river Jones and Amir Khan.
I dont see a glass jaw, he has been in there with bangers and went 12 rounds with martinez, taking everything that came at him. It was a nicely placed shot. To be honest, I knew he was a KO waiting to happen regardless. His technique is terrible and he leans in while being tall, it's just dumb. He is going to get KO'd again if he doesnt get better technique and start using his height... it's plan old ridiculous. maybe he can hire manny steward, he needs something. His style, you have to have a chin that is COMPLETELY granite and you can have no fear, whatsoever. the guy will have fear and hesitation now, now is the perfect time get him to work behind his jab, from the distance to use all of his height. Williams has no chin now. The years of taking punches has finally cracked his mandible. Proof of this will be in his comeback fight where he will fight Malignaggi.
No way to prove any of that. Pure speculation. We will have to see how Williams' whiskers hold up in the future. As the question mark in the thread indicates, I'm not 100 percent certain his chin is china, but you HAVE to consider it suspect, at the least, after what happened last night.
