Does Sergio Martinez usurp Pacquiao for Fighter of the Year

I maybe a Pac fan but what Martinez has done definitely gets him the fighter of the year award.

Not only did he beat the guy who beat Marg, he KHTFO! Before that he beat a legitimate MW in Pavlik. I say he needs to be Fighter of the Year. I love Pacquiao too but Maravilla should win it imo.

 

I never worry about who gets this awards. I never even thought of Pac being in the running for this. I don't do rankings in general. Just like I'm not concerned with the whole P4P best thing.

I think Marg is better than Pavlik though. And the weight discrepancy is bigger.

Again, I really don't care about this awards anyway.

 

He deserves it fighting real competition and real champions for real titles not some bogus vacant ****...

Pac was already given fighter of the decade, there's no reason to give him a meaningless elevation just because he's a hot ticket. Sergio deserves this big.

 

Sergio deserves this ****... wayyy better victories than Pacquiao.

Not even remotely close.

Margarito won a single round on my card, and didn't come close to winning a second of a minute of any other round.

That isn't anywhere near competitive enough to be called a FOTY.

Pacquiao had a good year, but falls well short of both awards.

Sergio just made a case for himself after that KO of Paul and that great performance against Pavlik. I'm more of a boxing fan than you give me or any ******* here credit for.

I don't think there is one person that can hate on Sergio... Dude Definitely deserves all the attention and praise and awards....
