Pacman has more wins over ATG fighters than Duran. Duran's wins over ATG fighters is very thin. Great dominant lightweight, but if you look at it on paper. Duran lacks ATG wins, which hurts his legacy. I am sure one of Duran's big fans will start yelling and screaming, but the fact is Duran lacks wins over ATG fighters no matter what is said.
Pac has never defeated an all-time great at all by the harsh standards you impose on Duran's opposition.Duran would have one...Leonard.
Ray was not ATG when Duran beat him and Ray fought his fight. And the way Ray beat him in the rematch and rubber match, makes up for the loss.
So you're even harsher than i thought. Who are all these all-time greats with no excuses for losses to Pac then?.
A video with Skip Bayless talking about boxing? Wtf The other guy is the guy at ESPN who deals with strictly basketball news.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I dont think the statement "I think Pacquiao is better than Duran" is necessarily stupid, or bad, or controversial, or insulting, or whatever. It's reasonable. I know Duran is a sacred cow around these parts, and frankly Pacquiao would have to go 12 rounds with Wladimir Klitschko to convince some of you that he's worthy of even being mentioned in the same breath as Roberto Duran. I remember Duran was rougly at the same stage of his career as Pacquiao when he was dropping decisions to Kirkland Laing and (being schooled by) Benitez.
But Roberto was sick for Laing and unmotivated for Benitez. Or was he out of shape for Laing and had been partying before Benitez? Or was it the other way around? Either way I'm sure he had an excuse.
atsch You're unbelievable. But, just out of curiosity, was Duran an ATG welterweight at that point in time (or ever), in your opinion?
