You weren't right about anything. And looks like you were wrong about Froch beating Abraham, Froch got so scared he faked an injury.

people really do seem too quick to label fighters as "hype jobs" the moment they lose. I'm starting to wonder if this sort of mentality with the fans is contributing to the reluctance of many fighters to fight the best since it reaches a point where getting a legacy building fight is not worth the risk of being called a hype job after a single defeat.

"GE brings good things to life!"

However, they also manufactured some electric chairs in the '70s, so I guess you could say the opposite is true as well!

A hypejob IMO is someone hyped excessively by the networks. A guy That has flaws that are not hard to see which generally get taken advantage of by upper level fighters. If you look around, more than 90% of guys get labeled a hype job at some time on thier way up, by somebody on this board.

Another over used term is "Exposed". IMO Exposed is when a guy is shown a distict strategy that makes them seem helpless and completely uneffective against it. A strategy that takes away the only thing a fighter does well. A strategy that you can bet that any fighter with the physical tools to implement it will most likely win.

Really................. Really...... umm... Adamek's hype started with a fight of the year type fight with Paul Briggs... Only to follow it up with another entertaining fight.. After losing to Dawson, is work at Cruiserweight is what really made the hype the way it was.. Stopped O'Neil Bell (former lineal champ), dropping Steve Cunningham 3 times en route to being the best cruiser in the world in a FOTY type fight, KO'ing an unbeaten top 10 guy, Moving up in weight defeating a former contender(even though Ray Austin knocked Golota out too, lol), defeating a former Olympian, beating a top 10 heavy, and then Michael Grant... His hype is justified....

Umm... Froch winning this whole tournament..... hmm............... Really~?? More like Froch getting knocked out... He's strong but has no defense.. AA has bombs and a tight defense.. I see Froch going nite nite somewhere between 4 and 9...

Over the past few years I've come to believe that the number one reason boxing does not get more mainstream media attention is because boxing fans, and boxing "journalists" pretty much suck. Boxing is the only sport in the world where the fans and so called journalists kill the wounded, and defecate all over the rookies at every opportunity.

In football if a player takes a big hit, and the coach has to take him out of the game, everyone hopes the team can win without him, and that the player will be okay. In boxing if a fighter gets knocked out, he's a glass jawed joke.

In basketball if a player ends up on the injured list, no one tries to claim he is a coward who is ducking the big game. In boxing if a fighter sustains an injury, he is a ***** and a faker.

In football, baseball, basketball, and soccer, every team has a game schedule they must adhere to. No matter how over matched a given team may be in certain games, no one complains. The fans simply accept the fact that this is the schedule. In boxing if a sanctioning body appoints a sub-par mandatory, the champ immediately becomes a joke who is feasting on bums.

In all other sports if a coach gives a rookie a shot at proving himself, and he fails, it's oh-well, he's young, and will improve over time. In boxing if a prospect or young contender loses a fight, he's an over rated hype job. Sometimes boxing fans don't even wait for a young guy to lose before they start shitting all over him. For example there is a thread right now titled "Let's decide who will be the next hype job," and that miserable piece of garbage is 26 pages long.

This ought not to be. I for one am willing to make a firm commitment to change the way I talk about prize fighters, and the prizes they fight for. How many of you are willing to do the same?

I hate knocking someone when they are down, which is not what I intend on doing but back in August, I started this thread, which came under attack (like the post I started predicting Pascal to beat Dawson).
Now for all the people that doubted what I wrote, will find that I was right again and not bias.
Many fans are fooled by TV exposure and hype, which is something I argue against, but facts speak for themselves :deal

Good post, boxing is the only sport you can be second best in the world and considered a 'bum'

A KO loss against an elite fighter doesn't make you a hype job, otherwise Roberto Duran and many greats would be considered hypejobs

I didnt base it on his KO loss, I startede this post back in August, it was an accumulation of results. Losing to Quintana, getting a lucky result against Cintron, looking lucky to many in his first fight against Martinez, when Martinez was training for an overweight fight.

You cant argue what I wrote as I was correct

Im not a Euro troll or a Troll at all. If you notice the first page, Adameks name is mentioned.
I made some guesses based on what I viewed which turned out to be correct. When I said Pascal would beat Dawson on points neither are European, when I put on here about Martinez would beat Williams in a return neither are European.
So stop trying to stir because I have been proven correct again

He didn't get a lucky result against Cintron, he would have beat Cintron easily. The Margarito, Winky, Quintana were all top fighters and arguably Phillips. He also beat Martinez too and even if you think Martinez won it was close

People also forget hes a welterweight fighting for the middleweight world title
