    A lot of people don't want to see it happen these people are mainly die hard pacquiao fans who are afraid if Floyd takes this fight and wins he'll make the pendulum swing so far back in his favour that it would be make it almost impossible for pacman to regain the 'upper hand' in terms of who's seen as the best fighter of this era, same thing happened right after the Mosley fight but to a much lesser degree and Pacquaio was able to get the momentum back after his win over Margarito, but a Floyd win over Martinez would be more or less game over for two reasons;

    1. If Mayweather wins, Pacquiao's only option would be to fight Mayweather something that wont happen because any Mayweather Martinez fight would be at 154lbs or above and quite honestly I don't see Mayweather wanting to fight at 147 after he's moved up so far in weight and I don't see pac jumping upto 154lbs to fight Mayweather either.

    2. Martinez camp has already stated Manny is too small to make the fight with him happen and i'm sure they wont want to fight at a catchweight of 150lbs (which I dont think martinez could make) something im sure Roach would try to suggest.

It's the reason soo many threads are being made at the moment hating on Mayweather.

As for Mayweather if he does end up fighting a bum like Berto (yes he's a bum) then he may aswell retire, and Pacquiao would rightly be declared the best fighter of this era.

If PBF takes the fight it can make things very complicated but at the end of the day Pac is the flavour of the month!

So no matter if PBF were to beat Wlad himself he would still be 2nd to Pac in most peoples mind.

BTW how is Berto a bum? People keep cursing Mayweather on the notion he is going to fight Berto. But everyone is happy for Berto to fight Pac I dont understand why?

Unless Mayweather makes him come down to 154, there's no chance in hell he'll be taking Martinez.

Berto is meat ready to get cooked any day now, he'd get easily beaten by Pac or May

Mad props to Floyd if he indeed fight Martinez. Martinez said the lowest he can go down is 156lbs. Let us see if Floyd is willing to fight Martinez at that weight.

But the reality is, Floyd is on vacation and I'm sure he will not cut it short just to fight Martinez at 156lbs.

i'm thinking more of the implications of martinez KOing williams like that.

i think we are much closer now to pac-mayweather happening compared to before this fight.

LOL sometimes it feels like it is 90% of ESB.

You would think May has done absolutely nothing in career!

But to make it clear I would like to see May fight Martinez, there's no reason for him not to we know he could get the blood tests and he has been to 154 before. So he should go to 150 and let Martinez weigh in at 158 and make it happen.

There isn't enough talent left in boxing for Manny or May to retire yet!

Hey I agree, I saw last fight (terrible imo) but everyone is getting up for Pac - Berto and on the flip side sh!ting on May - Berto (even though there has been absolutely no talk of it)

First and foremost I want Mayweather Pacquiao. If for some reason that can't happen again, I've heard Roach wants to keep Pacquiao out the ring for a good 6 months, Mayweather taking on and possibly beating Martinez would bring some of the shine back onto the Mayweather v Pacquiao bout.

The very idea that Mayweather, who is blatantly ducking Paq, and has avoided Cotto, Williams and Margarito shamelessly , would be considering fighting Martinez, is pure absurd fantasy.
Paq's KO of Hatton scared Mayweather shitless. Can you imagine what seeing that brutal finish of Williams did to Floyd?
I'm sure it totally erased any "urge" to fight anyone except for chicks and security guards.

Floyd will fight Martinez next just for spite. Sergio is small enough for Floyd to handle. When PBF is middleweight champ he will never STFU.
