All or Nearly All ATG's #1 P4P at some point?

    Is it a fair assumption to make that since its use as a ranking tool, the pound-for-pound list has held all or nearly all All Time Greats as #1 at some point? (Or at least top 3)?

    Or, the other way around, do nearly all fighters who achieve pound-for-pound supremacy end up earning a place in history as an All Time Great?

    Can you think of many outliers?

    Just be in the p4p top 10 for 2 years and you are a hall of famers. Maybe Tim Austin is the only exception

    Oh, he's going...He's going, Bodhi. And there will be people there singing "There's only ooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnneee Ricky Hatton!" very drunkenly, with drums. You believe it.

    Seriously, Ottke would deserve it more than Ricky but neither really belongs there.

    Ottke never beat anyone like a Tyszu or Castillo. And its called 'Hall of Fame' not 'Hall of Achievement'. Hatton is the most famous/popular British boxer since....well maybe ever sadly

    being world champ would be enough for me.
    when you've been a lowly amateur every other fighter seems great anyway, and you appreciate them more.

    So, you get into the HoF because you are famous? Henry Maske is lock for it then I guess. :lol: And why is Bubi Scholz not in there? He filled the Berlin Olympia Stadium during his career and was the most popular sportsmen of his time in Germany, even voted the best and most popular fighter of Europe by L´Equipe - and we all know how much the French like the Germans.

    :blood...Yes. The most famous boxers get into the hall of fame. Guess what...Gatti is going in too. Gatti and Hatton are both going to the HOF, Bodhi. There's nothing you can do about this. You have to accept it or be driven mad. ...I'm sorry.

    Pretty much yes, why do you think Norton and McGuigan are in it? It is a US Hall of Fame and maybe as a whole Europeans arent acknowledged as much as they should be

    I am not sure that is the case if another great is fighting in that same era. Although I agree that most who are p4p for a few years usually have hall of fame status, although I remember Bramble was number 3 for a year or two in the mid 1980's and look what happened to him, but he was not number one.
