Better defensive skills : Hopkins or Mayweather Jr ?

    You have to be a lunatic to think Mayweather has better defensive skills.
    Hopkins at 37 years old + Tito in his prime same ODLH as May, Pavlik, Roy Jones, bigger names all in primes never rocked him - Mayweather - Judah, Old Rusty Longest layoff his career cracked Floyd hurting him, Castillo landing 130 power shots, there is no comparison Hopkins better defense and against better opp

    Being rocked and hurt has nothing to do with defense. Everyone gets hit...Mayweather and Hopkins have the best defense in the sport, everyone else is below in my opinion, including Wlad.

    I think the only reason they are comparable is due to Floyds freakish athletic ability.
    Hops has none of that and is still a equal at worse so i am siding with Bernard here.

    I doubt Floyds defense would be remotely as good once his speed and reflexes leave him.
