Whether you like Paul as a fighter or not, you have to respect him as a person. He got KO'd really bad last night.....He didn't *****, he didn't cry, and he didn't make up excuses. He just flat out told it like it was....he got hit with a flush shot he didn't see coming and thats the way it goes.

I saw a post fight interview in the locker room, and he was acting like his normal self. Not upset, not trying to get people to feel sorry for him, just said that is the way it goes sometimes and that he will be back. Unlike Pavlik who then tries to call hopkins uncrafty and made up millions of excuses to why he lost, or chad dawson claiming he was being head butted or Arreola crying like a baby or Hatton blaming the referee or his trainer.

Props to Sergio for that awesome KO, he IMO was the most underrated fighter in boxing and made his mark in amazing fashion last night. As for Paul, i wish him a good recovery, and keep that same mind state he has so he can make a good come back and show what he is about.

Paul Williams should come back with a solid tune-up and then Face Maravilla again. perhaps Kelly Pavlik.

Hes a good kid who still has a lot to give to the sport.

Hopefully he will rebound strongly from this setback.

I too would like to see a fight with Pavlik at this point. Though I will admit, having seen Paul KO'd-something I never thought I'd see-I'm not too sure how it would go.

Let's just hope Pavlik can avoid injuring himself if a fight is agreed upon

It happens, have been saying it all day.Williams will be gutted by it but there is no shame in losing like that. The shot was wicked, pure evil and would have dropped anyone the same way.Good on him for his reaction to it.He will come back,he has nothing to worry about regarding his chin.

Paul Williams is a classy guy and pretty humble for an elite boxer. That personality is a large reason he has never become a big name despite his achievements. Hopefully he comes back from this and takes Martinez's advice not to fight at middleweight in the future. He's earned an easy comeback fight; a Pavlik fight would be a terrible idea for him right now IMO. I think it's too late to change his style much but he can still be a major force at 147/154.

Paul's a stand-up guy, proven last night in the post fight presser.

He'll get another big opportunity soon enough.

I'd like to see him against Mosley next at 54.

    Isn't he 29?

Yeah, he took it well, props. I know he got clearly KTFO but Hatton managed to come up with excuses in the same situation.

And good for Williams that it was just quick one punch KO, not some beatdown. Shouldn't damage him a lot. If he keeps his good attitude, mentality, it may even make him a better, smarter fighter.

Utmost respect. He even attended the post-fight presser, something sparked out fighters don't usually do and was a class act. Hope he recovers, learn from the mistakes and come back as a better fighter. No shame going out like this.
