Yeh I like it, especially for countries that are not well known for any other major sports eg Pac + Phillipines.
I have to disagree with you there, Argentina was always known for having some of the finest athlets in the world(tennis, golf, basketball, formula 1, soccer,boxing)
He's not that big. In fact, I can't remember where I heard it, but Martinez was never really taken well in his homeland. I think this was touched up on by the HBO commentators in the Pavlik or first Williams fight. A large part of his career was spent in Spain.
Since the Williams fight was so easy, Martinez should take a quick title defense in Buenos Aires in the early 2011 to raise his stock at home.
I think Baldomir was bigger in Argentina. Sergio was born in Argentina, but I dont think he spent much time there.
