If Pac fought Sergio at a 157 catchweight, would you be okay with it?

I don't mind him fighting Martinez at 157lbs since Martinez seems comfortable at 157lbs. Fighting for the Middleweight belt at 157lbs would still be a pathetic joke.

So what did you think of PW fighting for the title at 158?

I am not a Pac fan, so yes I would be more than OK with it.

Well Sergio, from a boxing perspective embodies exactly what Hopkins was referring to, in terms of what Pac avoids. Pac wants no part of Martinez, he would get the beating of his lifetime.

    I think it's a pathetic joke.

Fights for "titles" or "belts" should be contested at the actual weight limits of the divisions.

    Any other pointless questions?

No. I don't believe in catchweights in general though so my opinion may be of no help.

There are plenty of weight classes these days already, so step up to one and quit being a *****.

why does Pacquiao need a catchweight? Being Pound for Pound means that you are willing to come to a fighters weight and show him you can kick his ass, not requesting catchweights to drain your opponent and pass it off as a P4P victory :patsch

neither becuz Sergio already said he doesn't think the Pacquiao fight can be made and that he would KO him and the Mayweather fight is much more likely and he would prefer to fight Floyd because it would be a greater challenge

and if Pacquiao fights Mosley he should be banished from the sport of boxing forever

my point exactly. id rather watch pac at a catchweight with a great fighter than at a full weight with a shot fighter.

pac vs. mosley is a horrible and despicable match.

I am tired of catchweights. Too many now. Manny has moved up and fought high enough now to not need the catchweights, and if he needs them then he shouldn't win the title. This is not to insult him, he is great. The catchweights are just ways to get unfair advantages and not fight a guy at his best. Why would you want to fight a guy when he is not at his best.
