Floyd: "Fighting Sergio makes No Money"

Why do I get the distinct feeling you are black and the only reason your love of Floyd exists is because you have the same coloured skin as him.

It's a wild stab in the dark I know, but am I in the same ballpark?

 

At this point, I would go with Manny. I've always thought Floyd was the better fighter, but Pac has swayed my eyes with his greater body of work and willingness to prove himself. Floyd needs to stop being so flaky.

 

the money argument doesn't work for FMJ, he is the cash cow of boxing, whoever he fights it'll make money, he is the draw, even if he fights Zelenoff it will still make money! He could fight Ronald Mcdonald and it'll still be a PPV success!

 

It's completely ridiculous.... Which fighter besides Pacquiao will make anywhere near what he's expecting ? :-(

Roger is wrong saying it is about making money. Hagler and Hearns both used to say we will not fight if we are not paid, but they also said you have to fight the top guys to be great. They would have fought Martinez. I disagree, it is not about money if you want to be great. Ray did not come back and fight Hagler for money.

Riiiiiight. Fighting for the actual middleweight title makes no sense. It's best for Floyd to carry on the tradition of avoiding lineal titleholders and going after paper champions instead.

 

It's ****ing laughable this family will come up with comments like this, and probably in the same breath, deride the Pac-Margo fight for being more about money than anything else....

 

apparently, floyd has stated that he wants martinez after this article was written. he has put himself in a position with very little room to maneuver. he either takes on martinez like he said, or he takes on pac who has said he will agree to any test floyd wants. if he doesnt, he is the king ***** of boxing.
