he would knock out Williams, but not Martinez as his fight with him showed.

He was still too flat footed for Martinez. Miranda and Taylor don't shoot from angles the way Maravilla does. The pre-boozer Pavlik might of been able to beat Williams, but I think Martinez still beats him.

Not Martinez but I think you are right about Williams. Williams defence is too poor and Pavlik has monstrous power.

Martinez is a stylistic nightmare for Pavlik, and even a sharper version wouldn't make a difference.

It has become evident that Pavlik fights well when he is in a brawl and his opponent gets tired and he keeps punching, but when a guy boxes him and gives him angles and does not trade with him they can win very easily. He is not a great fighter at all. A fighter he would have done well with might have been Nigel Benn.

I didn't see it as barley. Sure Pavlik got some of the middle rounds, but as the fight was coming to the last stretch, Kelly was getting slaugtered!!! He couldn't see where the shots where coming from, he didn't even have a fighter chance at that point.

Martinez is fast but he is hittable, williams landed a lot Martinez. Pavlik before he got staph infection and became the county's town drunkard had fast straight and concussive punches. Pavlik could win a close one or a KO

Ive always thought Pavlik would beat Williams, neather of their recent fights have changed that opinion. However, I am not so sure Pavlik ever beats Martinez. If he had been a bit more competetive I would be inclined to agree but as it stands Martinez is simply the superior fighter in my opinion.

If you took off those tinted glasses you would see he beat him comprehensively. If anything, the score cards flattered Pavlik.

Evident? yeah after the alcohol indulgence, his prime was brief! But the mwt div is filled with mediocrity, that gives the illusion that Martinez is something special!

That's the thing Mosquito, Martinez fights from angles making those straight rights difficults to land. If Kelly had better footwork then I could see him landing those crisp rights on Martinez.

Pavlik issue with Alcohol didn't just happen over night, it looks like he has had this problem for a while and it has finally caught up to him, sooner than later.

IS this 100% confirmed about Pavlik being an alcoholic? What a shame if true and pray he can overcome this. he has a lot of skill and had room to improve. Hope he comes back and gets some help in the corner to help him in the bigger fights.
