Over on the Scene of Boxing, it's being reported that Bradley and Alexander have yet to settle on a venue for their fight. With only 8 weeks left until the showdown, Alexander's trainer is frustrated with the progress so far.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm sensing another Ward-Dirrell here. That January 29th date is looking increasingly less likely.

    Thoughts?

    lolol.

Maybe they are looking for a venue that only holds like 300 ppl. Last Bradley fight there were about 45 ppl in his hometown.

Meh, I think they'll be able to get it through. They both know they'll lose out badly if they don't stick to the semi promise of setting up the unification of 140. They'll lose money and stall their careers irreparably. They aren't exactly young bucks. These are arguably their primes, and they don't hold enough weight to generate a following without fighting tough competition. They risk obscurity if they don't fight each other soon.

Lol. It seems noone even gives a crap on an internet forum, let alone a 300 seated venue.

    Bogotazo raises some good points...

Aside from either one fighting the winner of Khan-Maidana, they have no where else to go from here, I don't think.

You reckon? There's only 8 weeks left, and....

    - No promotion
    - No settled venue
    - No tickets to go on sale
    - No training camps

I think they'll fight each other, yes. But will it be on the January 29th date? I'm not so sure. I even have a sneaky feeling that Shaw is trying to hold out Bradley for Pacquiao.

Maybe they won't be able to drum up enough interest there?

I reckon it'll fall through, neither is a draw so whatever money the tv companies (showtime I think so not that much) will pay for it will make up most of the purse, young promising guys like this don't take fights they have a 50% chance of winning for pretty small purses when the possibility of being one of the star guys around their weight class' opponent is a possibility. Unfortunately.

Only St Louis makes sense. Alexander has good support their and also brings 2 titles to the table.
