Ok, first of all I am no ******* and thing any version of Sergio will KO him.

But how can we hate on Pac wanting to fight the bigger guys at catch weight. It is clear that he can't fight above 144 pounds due to his last weigh in.

His last fight at 150, Margo outweighed him by nearly 20 pounds on fight night, if he accepted the limi to be 154, fighter would come in at 165 to 175 pounds and that would just be totally unfair for Pac.

I have to give Pac his dues for even offereing Sergio a fight at 150, because why does Pac need to always go to his opponents weight, its fair to meet inbetween.

It like we are asking for Pac to give a massive weight advantage to his opponents for him to have a legit fight.

For me, catchweight fights make fights that would normally never happen and it has been making the fight happen in the past that we want to see.

Anyway, with all that Pac and Money need to fight next.:bbb

i have nothing against catchweight fights.

its when catchweight fights are for world titles thats when i get pissed off!

The margarito fight for example. Its an amazing win and all credit to pac. clearly the p4p #1! But for that fight to be for the light middleweight title, where not only is it as a weight well below the 154 limit, its between two guys who havent had a single notable win at light middle between them, thats what annoys me.

For me these catchweight fights dont take anything away from pac's wins. But it annoys me when people declare him ''8 weight'' world champion!

    Stopped reading right there.

If we go far back as Pac fight with Barerra we can see Pac fight night weight was 144 and that was at 130. Also the marquez fight at 130 his fight night weight was 145. Then diaz fight at 135 pac fight night weight was 147. Then the del la hoya fight at 147 pac fight night weight was 148. Then the Hatton fight at 140 pac fight night weight was 148.

Pac fight night weight against cotto was also reported to be 148 although they did not show it come fight night. This was the same with Joshua Clottey. Funny how they stopped showing his fight night weights all of a sudden?

Is it to keep up the illusion that pac is putting on so much weight and is always at a perceived disadvantage? I will let you be the judge.

Pac has fought a number of times over 144.

    BUMP

I have less a problem with catch weights, than I do with him getting credit for Vacant Belt shopping. I used to get on Miguel Cotto fans about this as well, and it took a broke down Yuri Foreman for Cotto to finally beat a defending champion.

The last time Manny actually won a legitimate belt, it was against Ricky Hatton at 140. (Ring) Hatton was ripe to be taken out as well, as evidenced by his fight with Juan Lazcano. Other than that, David Diaz would be the other time he last took a belt from a champion. (Casamayor and Juan Diaz were champions at the time as well)

I don't put much stock in Vacant Belts. Never have, never will. The last champions Manny has faced are Ricky Hatton and David Diaz.

The PW/Martinez 2 was a catchweight. Martinez won. How come i don't see a thread that says 'Martinez was even weight drained and won!'? When Pac had his first catchweight fight against Cotto and won. Esb was flooded with 'Cotto was weight drained'. Funny.

clearly a retarted OTT pac fan and not a boxing fan.

If you read the whole post you'd see i like pac. Im a big fan. i MUCH prefer him to floyd mayweather. I get pissed because title fights are supposed to be at the right weight! I guess its fair enough if one fighter is the belt holder and he himself agrees to a catchweight (i.e. vs cotto or williams vs martinez). But its worse if its between two guys who've had no real fights at the weight and its for a vacant title!

You see, i like pac. and i can still admit it if i think something aint right. just like i can admit i scored pac/marquez 2 for marquez!

How about you? Do you pretty much back pac up for every single thing right/wrong? Is it so hard for you to comprehend the fact that someone who critisizes pac for something, can be no other than floyd mayweather? or a *****?

I guess you think the sun shines out of pac's ass? Thats what i thought

  11. The catchweight for Cotto was 145... that's 2 ****ing pounds. Hardly drainage. Cotto came in at 146 against Clottey.

I would give Pac all the credit in the world if he were to fight Martinez even at a catch weight of 150. I would even agree with a rehydration clause of 8pds. Though I don't think Martinez would look to balloon up that much to face Pac as I think he would know that it wouldn't be fair, based on what he has been saying.

Martinez is a dangerous skilled fighter who has looked very good his last 2 fights. Which is different from the last couple of fighters that Pac has faced.

He has the style to give Pac major problems as well has a very big size advantage. So I agree with all those things necessary to make it a level playing field.
