Margarito also used to be known as the most dangerous man in boxing at some time and was beaten easily twice already.
It just happens. Gotta love boxing.

His interviews are usually unbearable even for me, but he's a stand up guy and took the loss better than most would. He will be back, but fighters like Martinez will probably always give him problems. Good thing for him it's not too Many fighters like Martinez out there for him to fight! I thought he'd win, boy was I wrong.

yeah he was classy. Did anyone notice the swelling over his right eye? That could have limited his side vision a little on that side, which was where the punch came from. It looks like he has scar tissue from the cut from the last fight with Martinez.

ok he said he would fight the same way again.....do any of you agree with this?

Personaly i think he should box use his range and height...it still can be a good exciting fight without him giving up his advantages.

The first Quintana fight was all you needed to see to be concerned that something like this was going to happen to PW. I guess his team didn't pay attention and because he KO'd Qintana in the rematch, they acted like the flaws didn't exist. It's the trainer's job to maximize a fighter's strengths and use all his advantages to the fullest. His trainer didn't do any of that ****, and Williams was doing the same things over and over, just trying to outwork his opponents, no matter how much he got hit.

But this is boxing, and when you fight a smart fighter, he'll see your recurring flaws and make you seriously pay. No one PW's size, and with that reach advantage should be fighting as stupid as he does, and a good trainer should never allow that. I've been criticising him for this for a long time, because it bothers me to see someone with his natural gifts not using them properly. PW now has to start over and overhaul his style if he wants to compete at the higher levels, but at this point I hope it's not too late.

I predicted the fight would go to another close decision. I had Williams winning the first round too. He got caught. He'll be back. I think he deserves a 3rd fight with Martinez. He needs to keep that distance and utilize those long arms much like he did when he fought Margarito. Pavlik would be a good fight.

lolz, he didn't use his reach in the Margarito fight, he just outworked margarito, and won the first four rounds because margo is a slow starter, margarito caught him a lot of times and worked his body

Yeah.. he's good. He's back in Aiken now, just chillin for the Holidays. He'll be back. Just don't know what adjustments he wil make, and to what extent. Obviously if he's going to go at Martinez again, he will have to do something a litle different.

tell him to use his range and height....he said he would fight like that again...i know he is tough SOB and all but fighting like that leaves him so open because he is that tall.
