Is lou dibella a good enough promoter to turn sergio into a star.

IMO he is a star , in boxing terms , in terms of mega star out of the ring popularity , Di Bella or nobody could acheive that , he's not that type of character

 

He is an underrated promoter. He turned a feather-fisted (an insult to feathers) Malignaggi into a "star" (or a main-event-type fighter). I just wish DiBella was Pac's promoter.

Dibella has good ties to HBO. For that he can do his job. Its up the fighter to become a megastar, its only his job to give him the stage to do it on.
Dibella looks like an idiot with that earring though, he should lose that.

 

I have to agree with the above poster in terms of boxing he is a star. But, I'm not sure one good punch against Williams is enough to turn you into a PBF/Pacman level star even though it was easily KO of the year.

lou did great things for martinez

first thing he did after signing sergio is put him against a decent fighter to showcase his skills on hbo boxing after dark, it started from there and now he is 2 weight champion.
