pac got away with a draw in the first fight.. and then won by 2 points in the second...

Alexis Arguello got ko'd in his first pro fight, in the first round, by a guy who had never fought before. He also lost his fifth fight against a guy with a 0-1 record and got ko'd in his 26th fight by a guy with a 6-6 record. Is he a bum too?

 

This makes me sick. This whole pattern of discrediting all these wins. Duran quit against Leonard II, got knocked out in 2 by Hearns. He's a quitter and past his best, he sucks, right?. Everybody loses. Everybody has bad nights. It does not mean they are done.

Maybe Oscar WAS done, but there was no indication Cotto was, nor Barrera, nor even Hatton, who had just showed that he could OUTBOX with skill Paulie malignaggi easily, and everybody knows Morales was not in great shape for the Raheem fight. You can make excuses either way, but no way ALL these guys were done and Pac is not great. He is great, or everybody would be doing this.

No one else can. Floyd is great in his own way, but right now I don't think a head to head favors his style with his southpaw problems.

Please lets stop discrediting the wins of this guy and start discrediting wins like Chavez had early in his career: guys with knee braces fighting twenty pounds over their best weights. Duddy was a real challenge, but is Gomez a step up in the right direction?

And lets be very clear, Maidana does not suck. If Khan beats him he deserves real credit too, because Maidana could end that fight with any given punch. You guys are bashing everybody on earth who fights. Why the disrespect for an obviously great fighter? Not all of these are fluke/ past their best wins. No one ever gets credit for being what they are.

I've said this a million times and I'll say it again. Had Pacquiao not fought Morales or Barrera AT ANY PONT OF THEIR CAREERS (never mind that Barrera was a top 3 P4P fighter before Pac fought him), would these dipshits have claimed that Pac ducked them? Of course, they would.

the logic here is that if they were prime, they wouldn't have lost. So no one is ever prime if pac beats them. When Pac gets beat, don't worry - he won't be prime either. So if Floyd fights and beats him, Pac won't be prime, and if Floyd gets knocked out, he won't be prime. But before they fight starts they will be prime.

Maybe you forgot that one of the judges admitted that he made a scoring error in the first fight. He said Pac should have won but he couldn't do anything about it anymore. Which reminds me of how Barrera lost to Suarez and later on was declared the winner AFTER Suarez was declared the winner. Anyway, that first fight with Marquez is still a draw.

Pac won against Barrera who was still considered one of the best p4p in boxing. Barrera wasn't over the hill when they fought. He was still able to beat Morales who beat Pacquiao. Saying that Pac fights over the hill fighters is just straight up not thinking.
