Many people on ESB have come on here and rightly praised Manny Pacquiao for his win over Margarito who weighed in 5 and a 1/2 lbs heavier than Manny but on fight night was 17lbs heavier.
But many dont realise and give respect to Zsolt Erdei who went up a weight division from LHW to CW, to challenge for a world title and

He beat an old man/paper champion. It's his career highlight, which doesn't say much.

It wasnt his career highlight, but still whats a paper champion?
When Erdei beat Fragomeni, Fragomeni had only lost to Haye who was the #1 CW and had drawn with Wlodarczyk who had split 2 close fights with Cunningham, who many Americans rate. Says alot when you look at it that way considering a 17lb weigh in weight disadvantage, you also forget Erdei is no spring chicken

Then I guess you think most of the top 10 CWs of the world are then? Still Erdei beat a gut who weighted in 17lbs heavier and who was a world champ, so thats a good result

I consider the Fragomeni fight to be clearly the best fight of his career (even though it was a very close fight) for the reasons you stated as well as he had the flu the week before the fight. However...

That's probably more because of Universum than fighters ducking him.

And lets be real here, out of all the cruiserweight champions, he picked the one that he could win. Not that that's a bad thing. I wouldn't want to see him in there with Guillermo Jones, Steve Cunningham, or Marco Huck.

Why was Frag the easiest fight? I once posted that Giacobbe might be one of the few fighters I've seen that got the absolute most with the least. He was 40 years old when he fought Zsolt, he is VERY short for a cruiserweight and seems to have a short reach, and in 31 professional fights he has....11 KO's(8 of these KO's were against fighters with a losing record), and doesn't have a freakish chin. So Erdei took on a short, feather-fisted, and old cruiserweight. Do I consider it a very good win for him? Yes. Do I consider it something that makes Light Heavyweights scared? Hell no.

Zsolt really did fight some stiffs man. Some of his opponents were embarrassing.

Bailey is a troll and a poor one at that. Herbzg is the original and supreme Euro-level troll.

By this rationale, Haye should be P4P #1 for beating Valuev, who outwieghed him by 80 pounds.

oi bailey put this into consideration.

    1) This was Pac's 8th (+) weight class and Erdei 2nd.

    2) Light Middeweight is from 147 to 154 (7 pounds), while Cruiserweight is 175 - 200 (25 pounds)

    3) Margarito is taller than Pacquiao, Erdei is taller than Fragomeni

But I understand where u coming from and I tell you the answer is:-

Pacquiao vs Margarito had a 4 part 24/7 series by HBO, while Erdei vs Fragomeni hardly made it in the back pages of newspapers.

But all in all, Pacquiao wide UD Margarito is way more impressive than Erdei MD Fragman.
