Sergio Martinez "“Mayweather needs to fight Manny Pacquiao"

Sergio really needs to entertain the idea of fighting more often at 154. I know he's the MW champ, but his future really is at 154. Guys like him and Williams should stay at 154 to add more excitment to the division. I know the Pacman fight seems the most farfetched, but Martinez-Mayweather is a more doable fight. Damn I hope Floyd's about spent his vacation money by now.

 

He wasn't too big a couple weeks ago. The 154lb champ not willing to fight at 154lbs and the supposed p4p#1 fighting scraps and old men. This guy only fights big fighters with no skills or hand speed. He's not even comparable to Sugar Ray Leonard.

Martinez should stay off the glue but I do agree that Pacquiao is a fight that Mayweather badly needs to take.

sergio's just giving his opinion like everybody else. whether he is more credible/accurate or less is irrelevant. all opinions provide no value nor truth unless the fighters actually fight. a lot of self-righteous ****ers on here, thinking his opinion is the only one that's correct.

 

well he would have to fight both to make a real judgement which is accurate. I remember Jim Hill asked Hearns in 1987 who punched harder Leonard or Hagler and I thought he would say Hagler, and he said Leonard punched harder and sharper. So being in the ring with both of them gave him that knowledge which most people do not know personally. You cannot ask JMM who punches harder Manny or Floyd because of the different weights he fought them at. Juan Roldan did say Hearns punched harder than Hagler definetly.

Nearly everyday a more respected boxer comes out and clearly says Manny is the better fighter right now and Floyd needs to beat him to get the respect. In other words Floyd did not do enough to carve his legacy in boxing. Same thing we have all been saying and called *******s for.
To them Floyd is gods gift to the world to us he is gods gift to the olympics.

 

funny because i saw a lot of Floyd fans bandwagon on Maravilla's coat tails after this big win and use his name in posts to trash Pacquiao.
