damn shame he got ko'd. He looked better than he has in a long time. Maybe the best ever.... Hopefully he can leverage a few fights into fighting martinez one more time...

I actually think that his offense was looking very good, I had picked martinez to win but that first round Williams punches had good snap, he was moving well, and everything was good except his D, which cost him the fight. But overall I think he was looking good, which just makes the loss that much worse.

he looked faster stronger and more focused than I've seen him in a long time.... all facts. Anyone who knows how paul williams will admit this. He looked shitty his past few fights. He couldn't get into rhythm against martinez and he tried something new against cintron and it sucked

Williams did look good but his reckless style finally caught up with him.

He was fighting an awful fight. Being the usual Williams giving away all his advantages and using his chin as defence. It was clear he had learned little from the first fight and was just trying to walk Martinez down. He had no set up and was getting caught with almost every power punch Martinez threw.

If looking good means having your opponent land about 5-6 hard, flush shots on you, then yeah, he looked good.

He didn't look good. Walking in not thinking about defense.

That is how Williams fights. If thats your complaint, then Williams has NEVER looked good  Some fighters take punches to land punches, that is what Williams does.

Comparatively, (as in, compared to his recent fights, and to some of his other matches) he looked fast, was snapping his punches well and was moving with urgency and confidence. compared to, how he sometimes looks slow, lethargic, and a step behind.

Williams, for williams, looked good in there.

Williams did not respect Martinez at all. That was the problem. Had he gone in and fought with his jab, he would not have been stopped like that. It was his fault.

oh the punisher came in the ring looking like he was going to take care of bussiness.i had him winning until he got stoped.hmm if you really want to know with pauls style i was waiting for some **** like that to happen a long time ago.but after 3 years of watching him i sayed **** maybe he can take a punches.but that **** you dont see comin aint no joke.no matter how good the chin, there is button on your face and when you get hit on it the right way you will go to sleep.im more impressed with an as whoopin then a one hitter quitter.sergio through a right hook with his eyes closed, paul went straight to it, good night my brotha.

You know, that's what happen when you're tall and skinny, you get knocked the **** out by smaller/stronger dudes... Williams was losing against Cintron too before the "luck" of the decade (Cintron out of the ring because he fell on Williams's leg when Williams was on the canvas) lol...
