Froch might try body work early doors but he'll get bored of it and go head-hunting and "have a tear up, like a man on the cobbles". If Froch fights smart he can win but if he starts tiring and tries to out-trench warfare Abraham he'll get stopped. Abraham is the straighter more compact puncher and his punches will connect before Carl's. I don't think the size issue will any real effect other than allowing Froch some scope to win the fight on points. However, as I mentioned, I think he'll go to war again.
I got Froch by decision. His punches are wide enough to get around Abraham's guard, and outside of Germany, he'll legally be allowed to throw body shots. He'll build up a big lead early on workrate, and Abraham won't be able to catch up by knocking him out late.
It's a funny fight because both guys are more renowned for getting going in the second half of a fight. For Abraham in particular, this could be an odd sensation as he gets going but, unlike his other fights to date, so does Froch. I'm backing Froch. Got my fingers crossed big-time, this is huge for Carl.
Froch on points. Abraham has never been a quick starter so i don't expect him to start now. Abraham will be playing catch up in the 2nd half of the fight, but I fancy Froch to ride out the storm and win :good
:deal Would that be the one that landed right on the nose as he was coming in? I do remember him being stunned slightly at points, but never in danger of being stopped like the American commentator's seem to have thought. I think people forget that Kessler actually has a decent punch himself and get so wrapped up in this thinking that Abraham is some wrecking ball.
Froch will win on points IMO,i reckon by about 5 or 6 rounds. I think he knows he wont be able to stand and trade with AA so will get behind his jab, which he doesn't do regulary enough IMO,and box his way to victory and not get involved in a war Its anything but a foregone conclusion though, one decent shot from AA and the fight could turn on its head, and so could Froch. :bbb:bbb:bbb
Froch racks up an early lead, survives a slugfest in the last few rounds and takes it on points. 22/1 odds on Froch winning rounds 1-3 on Paddy Power. Worth banging a bit of money on considering Abraham's habit of being a slow starter.
Two european level fighters who have benefited from fighting dirty and home town decisions. Should be a decent fight. If I had to pick a winner. Froch should be able to box him to a decision. But, he won't and can see him getting sparked late. Takes too many shots and AA can hit.
Yeah, landed flush on the bridge of his nose as he was coming in. Did well not to go down, although it buckled his legs.
Yeah, I think that'll be the one I meant then. I don't remember it having Froch on ***** street though.
Nah it never, i remember watching the fight and hearing and reading that on here and from commentators. ''He's shaken'' etc....IMO he got walked onto a short sharp right hand and he dipped legs and shook him to boots but recovered brilliantly within a second or two. Never was badly hurt just shaken but a tremendous shot. 1:10 onwards [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=al6ga6m-3Xk[/ame]
