The twitter source looks real enough to me.....over 10,000 followers. Great news for the sport

 

it wouldn't surprise me if it's true, the fight was promoted really well. From them trying to convince us Pac might actually lose due to lack of training (which I, and most of you knew was bull ****, but the casual fans probably believed it), and then the week leading up to the fight with Margo making fun of Freddy's Parkinson's. That **** got SO much more attention brought to that fight. When Margo did that (and I'm sure it was all orchestrated by Arum for promotional purposes) they had that **** all over ESPN and everywhere. The Parkinson's thing alone probably added at least 100,000 buys.

 

I'm not saying the numbers are low. I'm saying they are low relative to what I guessed they would be.

The main source of promotion was the 24/7 series and that hardly mentioned Floyd. The fact is 1.15mill ppl bought the fight to see Pac v Marg, i'm sure they knew that Floyd wasn't fighting lol

 

My guess of 1 million buys was pretty close.

So you're telling me that them stating the p4p 1 is scared of another boxer because he is a dynamo and the whole drug testing fiasco from all media outlets didnt have any significance on the fight sales.
