I read it on ESPN. he tied tyson 4 having at least 1 million PPV buys (per fight) in 3 consecutive years. that's why everybody and their momma wants 2 fight pac man.

1.1 is plain average for the amount they invested in selling it.

    Goodbye 50%

    Floyd's last 4 fights have been 1 million+

    3 of the 4 over 1.5 million

I'm guessing ESPN only said "consecutive years" as it's the only freaking record they could find that didn't involve Mayweather beating him somewhere!

What world do you live in

Wlad Klitschko sells out 40'000 stadiums almost every year

If you're fighting outside of Vegas, you're doing so as you think you can persuade more people to buy $30 tickets, than you can buy $500 tickets

Stadiums are cheap. For fights they couldn't sell in Vegas

Well lets face it im not sure where you are from but if you are prepared to spend 50 dollars then you wil spend an extra 5 no problem that is around 3 pound not a bank breaker.

bottom line i think someone is going to have to lower their pride with drug testing and ppv cut and i dont think it will b mayweather. but imo a few hundred thousand ppvs counts for alot of money.

If true, it was worth it. If he fought Oscar again he'd get 50%.

    It's 1.05 on ESPN.

And Manny's never matched Mayweather once.

Floyd's last fight was 1.6 million. 400'000 more than anything Manny has ever done

    No he wouldn't!

That's how stupid this Pacquiao thing is.

Second Oscar fight, Floyd was STILL only offered 40%

    Why he pulled out.

All that matters in fights is who is the bigger seller, historically.

Manny can have NO arguments that he is. He's not even matched Floyd, let alone surpass him.

All this BS about PFP rankings

I don't think either will agree to less than 50/50, but they might do things in other ways - split the obligation of promotion, different rights to different countries, drug testing, etc.

50 to 55 is not a big deal, I agree, but different people do draw lines at different price points. It was, after all, replayed a week later. I spent the $65 on the HD feed, but would I do it at 70? 80? I don't know.

Oscar can't justify the premium anymore. Mayweather is a star in his own right.

Wouldn't they get moar by taking 80% from fighting a random guy? If they fight eachother, the split has to be closer to even. Neither needs the other financially.

I dont think other countries buy their ppvs, and not entirely sure how much the tv rights to it are abroad.

:rofl come on its only 5$ more lol.

Mayweather v Mosley drew those numbers because of PBF. Mosley is not a draw and never has been. Dude barely did 100,000 in his last fight on PPV.
