Wouldn't they get moar by taking 80% from fighting a random guy? If they fight eachother, the split has to be closer to even. Neither needs the other financially.

Ya'll should rename this thread to, "We don't want to see Pac vs Mayweather and we are prepared to do anything not to see it happen, even suck a dick."

Right because being an idiot like you acting like reality doesn't apply makes you more of a boxing fan. Seriously man. You have issues.

Let me start your response, "Man F that ish..."

No because the mans hilarious and likable, you should see his show "show me the manny" But big respect to PAc, he put himself through school even with his busy schedule. He wanted to learn and really wants to serve the public. Im not talking just Philippines. Pacs popular in places like Hong Kong and Singapore. SE Asia as a matter of fact.

Mannys smart, this guy was born in a place that would make Compton look posh. But hes survived and Hes humble, very likeable, he invested in good things like a bunch of rooster farms. He knows life after boxing, he needed to be marketable.

Floyd could learn a thing or two from PAc. Just because I see a Barkley type ending for Floyd.

Heres a little perspective. Anything that got Pacquiao's name on it or pretty much anything "Pacquiao" used for commercial reasons inevitably ends up fattening up Pac's wallet. Theres 1.5 billion people in China alone, Japan with world's 2nd largest economy has what? 120 mil, Indonesia 200 mil? Just those surrounding countries alone contribute either directly thru actual ppv buys, or indirectly through merchandising and broadcasting rights. If you look hard enough there maybe tangible evidence scattered here and there to get a general measure of Pacs economic impact, but why do the trouble. Its plenty obvious here in the states. You got pac nike gear selling like hotcakes n your nearby mall right now. You can feel the national buzz when a Pac fight comes along. Think about it, the USA has 300 mil which only just recently has had a passing fancy for Pac......what more is it when Pac has been a star in Asia long before even Roach came to the picture. He's fought a who's who of japs, Thais, Koreans, Aussies.....so yeh Floyd edges Pac here in the states, but guess what Pac is the draw not so much he makes more money than floyd in HBO PPV receipts but more more because he makes other people here in the states and in the rest of the world more money than floyd.

    How do you figure that?

I am asking people to review facts before jumping to conclusions and labelling anyone a ducker. I know this doesn't exactly align with your views to bash "Gayweather" and high five the hundreds of other dorks in here who don't seem to understand the business side of boxing.

Mayweather deserves praise if he ends up agreeing to 50/50. The only person who benefits from a 50/50 split is Pac because he will double his normal pay while Mayweather makes around the same as he did in the Mosley fight.

    Exactly.

Then these guys will justify it somehow.

I don't see why they just don't admit that they never want to see this fight happen.

The short explanation is that Pac fights have a bigger aggregate impact on not only the US economy but globally as well. He not only makes money for HBO, he makes money for any merchandiser peddlin anything "Pacquiao". And why do people make money off of Pac. Supply and demand, he is in more demand than Floyd ever will be. Even shorter explanation--- Pac fights generates more money than Floyd fights...fact.
