there is no denying that in '08 when he retired he could have, and probably should have fought cotto and/or margo...but at the same time the man had been fighting since he was a teen, sometimes a break is needed...nobody calls michael jordan a coward when he takes time off...i just hope u are here after his next fight, because i want to see if ur going to be saying 'well, that was nice, but u should face XYZ, u are ducking him'...and at the time floyd retired margo and williams were not elite, only cotto was.
I dont care. Why the **** is Pac taking this fight?, he aint making more money than if he fights JMM. Id rather watch that fight. They have bad blood and 140 is where it needs to be. He needs to finish Juan. He has to. Mans been badmouthing him forever. Pacs ****ing too small for 154 but too big for 140? But hes not a natural welter? atsch. What the **** is he? I swear he needs to retire some of his PR guys. If he takes on Mosley at 147 I hopes he gets KTFO for being so stupid.
everybody wants to see the fight dude, but at the same time u have to be realistic about it...if u have the leverage, why are u going to sacrifice millions?...just like alotta people dont want to see the fight happen because they want to gossip about floyd being a chicken and scared to fight, they dont want to see him step in the ring with pac.
50/50 is good between these two. Of course, if any of the two are willing to take a smaller cut just to make this fight, then it is OK.
Here is the situation. Anybody that's in Floyd's range...IE weight class or around....that he talks a whole lot of **** about while he's still arguably in his prime, he needs to fight. And I'm gonna give him **** until he fights them because if he had no intention, he shouldn't have talked that ****......... IF HE INITIATED IT. Which he often does. Floyd is already an ATG, but how many times in our lifetime will we get put in a situation where to ATG's are in the perfect position to fight one another? This fight needs to get made.
yes the fight needs to be made...but then you wonder why floyd is as defiant as he is, because he never gets credit for what he does, there will always be people hyping up the next fighter as 'the one' to beat him...and then when he ends up like roy jones people are going to be like 'well why didn't he quit'
Well that's just life as a boxer. He'll get that until he retires......and even a little after...ask Calzaghe. It's the profession.
you and alot of other fans, are not going to be satisfied with him until somebody beats him. simple as that, u dont want him to take challenges, u want to see him beaten.
Not this stupid argument again.... Unless Pacquiao's "worldwide recognition and crimestopping ability in his home country" translate into dollars and cents, it doesn't matter one bit in terms of who should get more money. I love how you go from acknowleding Floyd is the bigger "draw" (which is the operative word) to Pacquiao being "bigger" (an ambiguous term, if I've ever heard one).
