Holy **** man,Cotto wasn't coming off suspension for getting caught trying to use illegal hand wraps, only to comeback, fight a bum and get a shot at the p4p king.

The KEY ingredient missing in your argument is.... Margarito already beat Cotto.
    (You should welcome this...)

I here what your saying but i cant agree on Margo putting up a better fight than Cotto or Clottey.

Margo just had his size and granite chin keeping him around in that fight.Marg was beat just as bad if not worse than both Cotto and Clottey imo.

Clottey just didn't throw punches. When he did,he did land some good shots.

I strongly dis-agree! Clottey didnt even fight.. he was worried about pacs punches all night and rarely even threw punches, I have no doubt if he would of opened up more he would of got beat up!! Cotto put up a good fight for 4 rounds and then he was being stalked by pac and eventually stopped by pac in the 12th! Margarito really hurt pac in the 6th round, he also kept coming up until the 12th round. Margarito looked in great condition and he actually showed up and FOUGHT!! Margz may have endured an ass whooping but he never stopped trying for 12 rounds and he landed 229 punches.. He did far more then the Bias HBO team gave him credit for.. (I enjoyed the international broadcast) So I believe margarito did better then clottey, cotto, dlh and hatton against pac!! Watch all 4 fights again!!

well maybe they can make it a non-title fight. Just a money-fight I know many would want to see. If not to erase doubt that marg used illegal wraps.

Pacquiao let up on the gas in the 11th/12th round with Margo or he would have been stopped.Thats the only reason why it looks better than say how Cotto did against Pac.Marg had like one round with some success against pac.

Marg vs Pac wasn't realy a good fight.Margo didn't win not one round.

The Clottey fight realy cant even be considered. There was no fight.

MArgo received career threatening beatdowns in 2 of his last 3 fights.

He was caught cheating with illegal handwraps and has shown no remorse for it, even mocking it on 24/7.

He may get permanently damaged if he fights again (he may already be permanently damaged).

So yeah, he deserves another title shot. I mean, really, whats the argument??:admin

I am not sure why people want to see Cotto vs. Margarito. Margarito looked good enough against Pacman that he would probably stop Cotto again.

Bull****, Pac landed vicious combinations in the 11th round! Pac didnt knock marz out because tony was conditioned and hes tough! Pac couldnt knock tony out, I think pac put the brakes on in the 12th because hes not a robot (he was probably a bit tired)! I had tony ahead in 2 rounds, the 2nd and the 6th! Clottey didnt fight because he didnt wanna get blitzed by those pac combinations!! Give tony credit, atleast he stalked pac until the end of the fight! The Manster went into the belly of the beast and came out alive.. Only a certified bad ass could do that and live to tell about it!! :good

Because it is a good scrap.

Fights are there to entertain. Their first fight was goos until it lasted. Both are blasted by same fighter - Pac. Both are still probably good.

If we can sell JMM-Mayweather, I don't see why Cotto-Margarito is not okay.

It's a viable rematch, why not?

Better than some of the match ups being made out there.

Its going to work for Mosley as well......

.....a loss to Mayweather and a draw vs Mora looks like its going to earn him a shot at Pacquiao.

I agree that if Margarito gets back into the shape he was when he fought Manny that he will stop Cotto again. He looked great and fought hard through the 9th round and especially in the 6th through 8th round landed a lot of hard shots on Manny that very likely would have broken down the more fragile Cotto. I definitely am interested in the fight and hope Cotto can win but I'm not optimistic for him.
