Shite news about Byrne. The boy needs a break badly at this stage. He just can't seem to get anything to go his way.

Also, as much as I believe in miracles coming true, Lee v Martinez? No thanks. Lee would get mashed.

    Mick the Green,

It was Steve 'Super Kid' Cruz that beat Barry McGuigan for the
    Featherweight Title.

Stevie took everything that Barry could dish out, then he came on strong at the end of the fight.
Barry looked 'flat out' unbeatable up to that fight.

Hyde would best to leave Casey alone for the time being. Casey has the potential to become a real star here, there's no point in bursting his bubble yet.

yeah you would think he will go up to 91kgs for the Irish seniors , and big Con Sheehan up to 91+kgs as by going on his facebook he seems to be struggling to make 91kgs

No I should clarify. I meant moving a lad up to a level that is way beyond him and seeing him take a lopsided beating. The only thing that would give me any hope for Casey is that Rigo **** himself when Cordoba landed 1 good punch last fight. However, with all that lateral movement, do you see Casey hitting Rigo much or at all?

Way too soon for Casey. He's still novicey despite his success so far.

Wow so the Vera rematch is on with Lee?
I guess that means the Duddy fight won't be happening in January or December if Vera is penciled in for February! Well a Vera rematch is possibly just as big if not bigger anyway. Great opportunity for redemption! Vera will get a nice pay day too.
