I totally agree with you, however, it's the style in which he beat Kessler that brought him all the attention. He didn't just beat Kessler. He completely dominated him which is something no other fighter up to that point had done. I do believe Kessler is a talented fighter, but his management problems and inactivity, along with so so opposition post Joe Calzaghe really took its toll and it showed in the Ward fight. Problem for Kessler is that I think he's past his prime. Back to Ward, though.... the guy shows excellent ring generalship in practically every fight I've seen him in which tells me he's a skilled fighter, but until I see him in there with someone that's hungry, in their prime, and ranked higher, I'm not holding my breath. I don't think anyone left in the Super 6 is going to show us how good Ward really is. Froch is a guy who's hard to hit and awkward, but he's slow and prone to lose via points on guys who are good boxers (ex: Jermain Taylor if he wouldn't have run out of gas). I would have thought AA would be a tougher opponent, but after seeing Dirrell outbox him all night, I think he would just be a punching bag for for Ward. Easy points victory on that one. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.

I'm not going to comment on AA's p4p status the guy is one dementional...What he does he does on many different levels with a very high degree of intellegence; however, what he does is still predictable béc of that he is not p4p, he just got his ass boxed off by dirrell, simple as that....

I do believe he will win this weekend though so all the power to him.....Instead of comment on where he is p4p I did want to add my two bits on the AA Froch fight. Whenever I see a fighter going against his natural game or trying to change something about his game I know he's **** out of luck....the battle's you lose today you lost years ago and you cannot change the weapons you have right before the fight and expect to win. Froch is trying to practice keeping his gaurd high and being more defensively elussive. It looks like he had to pull out of the fight once already cause he wasn't happy with where he was at interms of improvement. Perhaps he realized then that the war had already been lost. You can't change your style for one fight and expect to be victorious. Something as fundanmental as Defense you have to spend a career mastering. Win First Fight Later or suffer the consequences....too bad for Froch because he's probably my favourite fighter but this weekend he suffers the consiquences of a lifetime of neglecting defence and gets knocked out.

if he KO's Froch I really believe he is a top 10 fighter. He is going to win the Tournament. Even though he got DQ'd I believe he was gonna walk right through Direll once he turned the tide. He started late + his style is very tricky and that fight is going to make him a much better fighter. He will start his attacks earlier and that will suit him real good because he throws straight and accurate and with power. Not to mention his defense is hilariously amazing.
I could be wrong. But AA is top of the line.

Not TOP 10 P4P and not the best SMW, but if he beats Froch (and he better does, because Froch is far to slow to avoid all of AA's big bombs - however if he is unable to KO Froch his skills as a KO artist are overrated) he is Top 20 material and probably the best SMW after Bute and Ward (although he only had 3 fights). If he beats Froch, he'll also beat Ward. Dirrell is faster, more agile than Ward and has a bigger reach. That's what is needed to win against AA.

BTW, I excluded Dirrell from my "best SMW" list. He has the skills, but everything else he has not.

AA will lose. Even the cowardly Dirrell handled him easily
