Dont think it would sell well at all. Bad fight for Andy as well, he needs to move quicker ,sure, but not this quickly.

Lee isn't that big of a name. would sell round St Paddy's but it really is a stupid risk for Lee Imo. He needs to show he belongs with the likes of Pirog, Jacobs and that lot before he goes steaming into a fight with Martinez.

That'd be a real jump wouldn't it. I'd almost welcome it though, it's really frustrating seeing him fight, for the most part, nobody of note.

agree its not like he has an 0 to protect. even if he runs Martinez close he will take allot from it.

I cant see the WBC going back on their word after making Zbik mandatory, especially after it was all over the boxing media that the winner must fight Zbik by march.

Lee will have to wait another while, most likely the summer or later 2011. But if he got offered it for $750,000 and a chance to win a world title he should of course bite their hand off.

Ya I was thinking that. A good losing attempt would move him up way more than any fight he's had in 2010. He could fight a comeback fight, and then look to pick up one of the other straps.

Just as long as he doesn't take too much damage from Martinez. Andy doesn't move his head that much, I'd be afraid Martinez would end up hitting him at will.

even if he get offered a 3rd of that. I doubt he has ever made over $100k.

Yeh Martinez should get the Zbik fight out of the way. Tough fight to sell in the US but HBO should back it, stick Guerrero vs Manfredo Jnr as a co feature on the undercard as they are both ticket sellers and its no problem. Maybe Caballero on the undercard to.

After that Martinez can look for a bigger catchweight fight or a unification, and wait for some of the younger up and coming Middleweights to be ready.

lee needs to fight a few lads in top 20 first like a rubio or someone like that , too much risk in putting him straight in with martinez

Hahaha surely this fight can't really be seriously being discussed?!

Martinez would beat Andy Lee like a naughty child

lol @ guys saying "it's a risk"...err it's more than that. Lee would get a disgusting beat down

God help Zbik he is going to need it. He isn't a top fighter by any means I'd take Lee to beat him. I'd take a lot of people to beat him that are down the pecking order of the Euro belt.
