As we all know, Floyd has had his fair share of troubles recently. Many people are wondering why Floyd has apparently gone off the rails, but I think the answer is pretty clear. In fact he even confessed to the problem himself: He has a split personality.

Floyd is torn between his two personalities, those of the Gorilla and the Dawg.

I'm no psychologist, but I think this is clearly his problem and I will explain why.

For most of his adult life Floyd has embraced and only shown 'The Dawg' side of his personality. It is only recently that 'The Gorilla' has surfaced and forced itself to become the dominant personality in the mind of Floyd Money Mayweather.

For all the years as 'The Dawg', Floyd was an obedient worker and loved to please his masters. He worked hard for treats and rewards and loved nothing more than to be praised and petted by his owners. Like most dawgs, despite his caring side Floyd was also confident, assured and brave - but never viscious, nasty or overly aggressive.

But, as we all know dawgs can be very jealous of the attention and treats received by others. This ultimately became his downfall. Jealousy gave the supressed Gorilla personality the chance to take over the brain of Money May.

Now, as the Gorilla Floyd is unmanageable. He doesn't have the urge to run around and play like he used to as the dog, he justs wants to lounge on his tyre, act violently to anyone who comes near him and throw **** around.

That's my two cents, but as I've already said, I'm no psychologist. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

This thread is for serious psychological discussion and analysis. I'd appreciate it if you took your racism elsewhere.

I'm still not certain if he said "dawg" (dog) or "dawk" (duck)... I think it's the last option.

I know even assholes have opinions, but I don't think we should joke about this. Just imagine how things must be inside the head of FMM. He's a confused young man. He was recently taken in for psychiatric testing and asked to create a self portait. This is what he came up with:

    You definitely have something there.

I am not a professional either, but I would also say that, like everyone with a split personality, Mayweather is neither emotionally mature nor strong enough to deal with the extreme pressures that he puts on himself as the perfectionist that he is.

His lack of emotional maturity lies in his troubled relationship with his father - also well documented. Because his daddy didn't love him and praised him as much as he needed to be loved and praised, he basked in the approval of paid yes-men, always willing and ready to stroke his ego and to indulge him, and he seeked love in the arms of his special guy - Leonard E.

Once he started to feel that the world as a whole didn't love him/appreciate him as much as he felt he deserved, he started throwing his toys out of his pram more than ever and started acting like a prima donna.

Someone like him will never dare to be truly great because he couldn't take the damage to his fragile ego that would come with a loss. As long as he remains unbeaten, he can pretend that he is perfect, that he is the best of all time. He will ensure he never jeopardises his "0" by only fighting guys he thinks he has a very high chance of beating.

To his defence, many of the professional choices he made in the last few years were rational. Given the state of his hands, he has to limit the number of fights he signs up for and he has to take long breaks between them. By making himself a scarce commodity, given that he is considered one of the best fighters in the world and one of the biggest draws, he maximises profits, which as a prizefighter he should be looking to do. By staying unbeaten, he can try to justify the purses that he commands.
