Would have liked to see him fight Marquez.

Probably Barrera. I know Morales beat Pac but I feel Barrera was more skilled and even the waaay past prime version gave Marquez a tough fight.

Not to mention he won the trilogy.

 

Got to be Barrera, the better resume (Morales has Pacquiao on his which makes it closer)and he is the more skilled I believe. Morales is a close second I feel with Marquez comfortably in third place.

 

Its rumoured they might fight. But it's not the same. A fight when they were younger is what everyone wanted to see. Now I think marquez should win. Morales is back after retirement and isn't the same fighter.

 

its sad to see legends come back long after they are clearly past it. It always leaves a sour taste

 

As average as I felt Marquez performed against Diaz in their second fight, nobody could sure want to see him against Morales at 140? Watch the Willie Limond fight, the guy looked shot.

 

Marquez is those guys butler. A shot Barrera got robbed against Marquez lol.

Who has Marquez beaten? beat a shot Casamayor and a robbed Barrera who threw more and landed more punches while knocking Marquez down as well? He's overhyped for fighting Pacquiao close two times, even though he got knocked down 6 times if you include when he went limp in the ropes. Even a shot Erik Morales outboxed Pacquiao sheesh.

he doesnt have a single convincing loss in his prime..c'mon his first loss were the 3 close barrera fights..whereas barrera has lost,knocked down being ko'd in his hey day

Both fighters are just pure badass either way..

 

I would have to say Erik Morales. He, in my opinion, is 1-1-1 with Barrera anyway. 1st fight a draw, 2nd Morales won, and 3rd Barrera. I also don't see a prime Morales losing to a Freddie Norwood or a Chris John. We already saw what a past-his-best Morales did to PacMan.

Thanks to his late-career surge, JMM has managed to close the gap on Erik and Marco. He was always as good but he never really had the resume to back it up. Since leaving 126 where he was at his best, he's managed to add a lot to his legacy.

I'd go with Morales but you could make a good argument for ranking them in any order.
