So who can Berto realistically fight in 2011?

I honestly don't think much of Berto. It seems like Team Berto want to talk themselves into a big fight without necessarily facing anybody. It's the Winky Wright approach, except he's more active. In this game, you have to pay your dues & he will never get the big fight he's craving if his team doesn't step up. The best opponents to see where he's at is Cintron or Clottey. The problem is both of those fighters may be blackballed with their showing this year. I think the 2nd best fight at 147 is Williams vs Berto. Problem is they are both managed by Al Haymon. I'm trying to be realistic here. Mosley is more interested in fighting the Top Rank guys, so that isn't realistic. Cotto will most likely face a Top Rank fighter. It's looking like Berto will have another year of being paid millions of dollars to fight bums.

David Haye, Floyd Mayweather and Andre Berto personify everything wrong with the sport.

Love to see him put the **** down by Cintron. Berto is like jermaine all athleticism no boxing skills. Flat footed to make it worse. Cintron will take him to school like a bus.

Definitely would be interesting. Cintron is a good barometer. He's the type of guy who beats who he is suppose to beat. Although he is a crybaby, it takes certain fighters to make him reach his breaking point. Not sure Berto is that type of guy

He can fight anyone, but he won't. A perfect example of a hypejob who won't face anyone, but will keep getting $1M+ paydays.

Just wait till the talent at 140 moves up to 147. He'll run up to 154.

Catch 22.. Berto gets criticized for not fighting top ww's and then gets questioned when he expresses his desire to step up.

Personally, I think it's clear that he's not ready to challenge either Pac or Mayweather but I still think that either possibility would be an intriguing scrap.

Floyd should use Berto for a tuneup, and then it's onto emmanuel or Martinez.

Agreed about Cintron! That would be a great fight for Berto. I hate to use the word "exposed", but if Berto would be, Cintron could be the guy to do it. Clottey as well. I've wanted to see a Clottey-Berto fight for a while now, even post Pacquiao fight.

The only time he expresses a desire to step up is if its one of the 2 cash cows. It's either bums or the 2 cash cows. There is no in between with this guy. Berto gives his comment after every big fight saying he would have done that same thing. Mayweather beats Mosley, "I would have done that." Pac beats Margarito, "I would have done the same thing." He can't even do that against some of the bums he's been facing, but he can do that to a proven fighter like Margarito?

Im starting to not believe that he is a hype job! He really might have a chane with pac but i wouldnt bet on it at this moment. Beating collazo was impressive but that was his first true test at his wait being he won a title that had been vacated. He might have gottin so much better realizing the championship level of opponents he will have to face. Quintana got literally destroyed by berto and i cant say that was a fluke victory cause he caught him with so many punches before the stoppage then as if he would have done a paul who koed him with one punch but didnt have enogh time to show if he changed from the last fight. People dont give up on berto YET....hes showing a lot of improvement

These guys say they want a big fight. The winner would definitely put themselves in a good position, but as ive said before, they are Haymon fights, so it will prolly never happen. It would be a big fight for the division though.

What do you call Mosley, Cotto, and Collazo (who priced himself out of a rematch?)

These fights haven't happened not because of Berto's unwillingness. :deal

My pick is SSM. They were going to fight before but they didn't for reasons we all know by now. I think Pac vs. FMJ will happen @ 2011. If not, I think JMM will be the next choice for MP. A Berto/Mosley fight will show if Berto is good enough for the big boys.
