    Boxing history in Miami
On Friday December 3rd history will be made as seven Cuban exiles will headline Pugilistic Promotions’ “Cuba vs. The World” at the Magic City Casino – formerly the Flagler Dog Track in Miami, Florida. Boxing historian Enrique Encinosa says this is the first time outside of Cuba, that a professional fight card features seven pugilists from the island.
The boxers headlining the card are:

Super middleweight Yudel Jhonson (8-0, 6 KOs) who as an amateur won the silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics, gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2006, and gold at the 1999 Panamerican Games.

Light heavyweight Yordanis Despaigne (7-0, 4 KOs) who owns amateur wins over future professional world champions Jean Pascal and Tomas Adamek.

Hard hitting cruiserweight Yunier Dorticos (9-0, 9 KOs), winner of three silver medals, and one bronze in Cuban national championships.

Rounding out the card are heavyweight Glendy Hernandez (2-0). Lightweight Puro Pairol (1-0-1). Vilier Quiñones, a light heavyweight making his pro debut, and Jose Aleman, a junior middleweight making his first appearance as a pro.

Super champ Celestino Caballero is fighting at 130 lbs. This weekend and will likely vacate the title. New regular champ Retsuri Lee has until 4/21/11 to make his mandatory and new interim Guillermo Rigondeaux has until March 2011. Incidentally, the WBA had ruled not to order a rematch between Rigondeaux and former interim champ Ricardo Cordoba, whom Rigondeaux just defeated in a highly controversial match on the Pacquiao-Margarito undercard.

Oh I see, he just copied the article from fightnews. Well, calling that fight highly contriversial is downright ******ed. Maybe if I'm generous Cordoba won 4 rounds.
