It would be better to assess Joe by comparing him to past Lt. Heavies rather than Middles. He's simply no Middleweight.

When did the weigh in rules change to the day before the fight?

Hagler can take those punches/slaps. if they go toe to toe, Calzaghe gets floored coz Hagler has the better chin, and hit harder aswell.

stop feeding the trolls. He didn't watch the fight. He just listened the other homeboys in his hood complain about the decision and assumed
hopkins got robbed. Of course the fight wasn't close. Every single boxing
scribe that counts had joe winning comfy. These racists will never live this
    down.

Assuming he handles the weight jump alright, Hagler should win. Although he's shorter, Hagler has the longer arms, better jab, and more refined boxing skills from the outside. If he's having problems in this mode, Hagler can switch to a more aggressive manner and be effective too.

I'm actually a fan/defender of Calzaghe, but I pick Hagler in this one.

Hagler would walk through most of Joe's punches, and would pound away slowly to body and head.

    Hagler by late stoppage/UD

Early to mid 80s. After the Mancini-Kim tragedy in 82' (Kim cut a lot of weight), and then the aborted Spinks-Muhammad rematch, when promoters lost a lot of money following Eddie's inability to make 175, lack of effort to make it afterwards, and Spinks's refusal to fight him since he didn't make weight.

you guys are seriously sad. newbs and troll? you speak in ****ing internet lingo, it truly shows you have no life. i like how you write that i didn't even watch it as if you are so sure of it and think your brilliant for realizing this. why the hell would i join and boxing website and take time out of my day to visit the site and post my opinion if i wasn't interested in the sport and actually watch it? i can guarantee you i know more about boxing than you and my proof is that you are stupid enough to fall into the hype that calzaghe was a great fighter.

and by the way i'm white. none of my "homeboys" watch boxing, i follow it myself. you come up with dumbass assumptions because you can't actually argue with what i said because you know its the truth or you're too ******ed to argue otherwise.
