jmm is definitely the more known fighter. he has been in 2 very close fights w/ the current p4p #1. he has also been in more ppv fights than margarito. jmm has been a top p4p fighter for the last 6 years.
Maybe his Mexican fanbase wanted to give him a chance to redeem himself. I still think JMM is the bigger draw between the two.
this is a question for the mexicans on the board JMM was loved because he gave pac a good fight and showed he is a HOF fighter as we mostly followed him after that and will watch his fights until hes done. Margarito Im not impressed with him never was but cotto got beat by him and became the welter weight champion of the world. People loved him because he took big shots from cotto and kept moving forward point blank the welter weight title means more then the light weight title because the welter weight division is the heart of the sport right now reguardless of the super six. I would have to say Margarito is the Draw the hand wrap scandal gave him alot of publicity and by watching Floyd bad publicity equals more dollars
yea but that fight didnt sell very well even after the war they had I think the welter weight division is just more important or was
That is bull**** and you know it. If anything it added more people that would know of him and watch the fight. I dont get why *******s use this excuse. CAn you tell me of all these people that boycotted the fight? And by that i mean people that did not watch period because going over to a bar, friends or even watching it online is not boycotting. You are still watching the damn fight. Margarito showed he was a big draw with Cotto. Pre Pac and PBF fights they were about the same. Even now i think they are the same.
you asked a simple question I went into detail if thats not good enough for you compare the ppv numbers
I think the thread starter wants it to be JMM so that theres an excuse why pac cant match mayweather ppv numbers. JMM cannot compete with the top welter weights as far as PPV numbers go.
That is bull****. Yes it would. Bundle that **** with Donaire-Montiel and sell it as a pinoy vs. mexico card, play up the controversy of the first two's scoring, and it's an easy easy fight to sell. Marquez is a draw. As the main event of GBP's biggest card of the summer he helped draw 200000k buys. Combine that with Pacquiao's own star power and you're guaranteed a big fight. The only problem is weight,. I'm not sure if Pac can make it to even 140 now.
