Surely he breaks into the top ten now doesn't he?

And with Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham, Johnson and Ward as a potential 7-fight run... that is a stunning cv in the modern day.

And now Bute's in with Showtime he might be number 8 :hey

the froch haters will say no

but in reality he has one of the best records in the game

he has one defeat and it was a very close fight to kessler

for me he is worthy of a top 10 place

    Yes!

Why well if we look at the Ring P4P rankings they have Timothy Bradley and Nonito Donaire in there. The P4P rankings are not based on skills there based on results and results at the highest level and Froch has beaten some of the best fighters in and around 168lbs over the last 2 years. For me he enters in at 10 at the least!

(Big fan of Bradley btw and think he deserves his slot but we can argue Froch has better resume IMO)

I have him top 20, but its ridiculously tight between the bottom of the top 10 and the rest of the top 20 to be honest.

Ward should not be higher. He has not beaten anybody credible other than kessler. Who got headubutted back to denmark and back to oakland.

It Would be completley unjustifiable to not have him in the top 10 p4p now its hard to think of any Fighters today who,ve got a better resume than him just now other than Pacman really.

What I wrote on Facebook seconds ago fuelled up with Irn Bru :bbb

"I know p4p lists are nothing to take too seriously, but I swear if no-one has Carl Froch on their's come next week I'll be knocking on your door."

Carl will appreciate my help

Why not. He's hardly what you think of in a p4p fighter but there must be a lot of things he presents in the ring that are not immediately obvious observing. He's got the record to justify a ranking or to be in contention. Ward should be higher though, just so its not so embarrassing when he schools Froch and they have to be reshuffled.

He's so more accomplished than say, Donaire (aesthetically pleasing but saddeningly over-praised) and has a better resume than either Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez. He's not always easy on the eye but has a solid chin and more facets to his game than I thought he could employ.

Wins over Johnson and Ward will cement his place in the top 5, I'd consider him just inside the top ten at the moment. But I think Ward will beat Froch on points in the final, solidifying his claim for a top P4P place. His win over Kessler was scrappy but comprehensive, but Frochs resume has more depth at the present time.

Froch has steadily improved since winning the WBC for the first time. Given fair officiating and and if he keeps fighting smart he has a shot at beating anyone in the Super Six including Ward.

Regardless of P4P. there is no way you can have Ward ranked over Froch. I wait here with baited breath as to how you could do that!!!
