Larry Merchant is the biggest a***hole

Don't think he really meant it as bad as it sounded but I will still like wtf....

 

To be fair, I think he cut him off out of respect for Kats to avoid having Katsidis voice break and tears flow. He didn't want to press the issue seeing Katsidis' expression grow more sullen. His questions weren't really too concise tonight, but I wouldn't classify him as a hater. Just an old man personality doing his job as instructed.

 

He lost me when he bagged Forest after he beat Mosley the first time. They guy as a first class jerk

 

Merchant was manic. He's troubled at this point but so are alot of us so I can't knock him. He did say some great **** tonight. Wish I could remember one quote in particular. Something about how Marquez doesn't focus on what just happened. He focuses on what happens next. Classic quote.

 

Larrys a legend but that was ****ed up

 

First he's sitting over there raving about Litzau's upset, but when Litzau comes over happily reaches his glove down to tap hands, Merchnat looks at him like he has 10 heads and then gives him two thumbs down. Why act like that towards a guy who's happily celebrating a big win.


Then after Katsidis fights his heart out vs. Marquez but gets stops, this MOFO has the nerve to ask him if he "thinks his brother would be proud of him tonight." You stupid MOFO what do u think? he disgraced his brother? The guy was dealing with all kinds oe emotion but he came out here and gave his all, earned everybody's respect, of course his brother would be proud.

Merchant needs his old ass whooped for real. He has no qualifications to do his job, and on top of that he talks **** to world class fighter, ask stupid ass questions, and it takes him forever to formulate simple sentence. HBO needs to get rid of him............that is all.

he should have said "Your brother would be proud of you tonight" for sure. Was plain wrong. Katsidis didnt deserve that at all, though Larry is quite dopey so he may not have thought it through. Still hes an insensitive *****.Well done Katisidis, your brother will be very proud of you.

Marquez knockdowns are actually interesting piece of story. Love that.
