what a great fight, great effort & action packed, i thought marquez was tiring till he landed that shot, well worth the 39.95, i thought they would have let it go longer as kats had just started to fight back, all the best to him

Would have liked to see the round finish. we've all seen Katz in worse situations and his heart usually pulls him through.

Stopped a bit too early - but must admit I was also starting to worry a bit as katz loked unsteady. But he did throw a good punch that landed right before the ref jumped in. Not a discraceful stoppage but knowing Katsidis and how he fights I think it was stopped too soon.

I've got no problem with the stoppage. Kat was backing off and Marquez was landing at will with remarkable accuracy.

Excellent stoppage IMO. Mick can come back and fight another day. He was getting a whipping when it was stopped.

    Was a fair stoppage IMO.
Katsidis showed tremendous heart & gave his all.
All of us should be proud of such a effort.

If only all our Aussie fighters tested themselves against the best of their weightclasses.

it was a great fight and one that i hope that our young amateurs were watching cause kats is the kind of fighter they should be looking up to. i also think the title of this thread should be changed to anything other than Mick Lost.

Marquez is a great fighter but that stoppage was a joke, I've seen a number of fighters in a worse way who have been allowed to continue and come back and won.

Mate, Mick did lose. Have we got to be politically correct about everything negative?

I posted it with extreme disappointment for him.
The bloke is a standout, & that Helmet he wears is an earned icon of his warrior heart.

I think you misinterpreted the feeling that was behind the words.
Losing a fight but gaining the respect of his opponents fans is something that doesn't come with a monetary value.

Down the track, Mick will walk into a room with the JMM's & he'll be applauded. That's immeasurable. :good

    Same for Sakio

I didn't like the stoppage. Katsidis landed a good left hook 1 second before the ref stepped in. We can all speculate on what might of happened but the ref didn't give us a chance to see.
