No, Calzaghe has Hopkins on his record which is worth a thousand Arthur Abrahams, though ofcourse his wins over Dirrel and Pasqual were classy.

In terms of names I'd say maybe.

Calzaghe would still wipe the floor with anyone at SMW tho.

Beating young active fighters back to back fighting regularly outside your country V Countless fights against nobodys refusal to fight the one guy reid who gave you all you could handle first time round beating two old hasbeens you just get by. Looks like Froch is wining so far and if he takes the S6 then calzaghe is miles behind.

Calzaghe's victory over Mitchell was equally if not more impressive than Froch's win over Abraham. What had Abraham actually done? His best win is Miranda. If Ward beats Abraham, then Froch's win is pratically worthless.

Reid was offered a rematch with Calzaghe but turned it down. He said the money was not enough for him. The interview is on the net somewhere.

By the way, Froch's best win is soon fighting one of those 'old hasbeens'.

fair call on abraham, but froch's last gasp win against taylor still ranks higher than joe's win against kessler.

    Pascal
    Dirrell
    Kessler (arguably won)
    Abraham
    Taylor

If he beats Ward he's nicked it, he does have a case even now.

You mean like he did with Kessler, Arguably Calzaghe's best win.

Kessler that was older, rusty, and also had double vision. Sure.

Calzaghe has a win over Hopkins and a prime Kessler. Froch was beaten by a washed up Kessler.

Froch has a great resume though. Winning the super six and he eclipses Calzaghe in my opinion.

why did you say joe has a win over hopkins when he was well past his prime, but froch was beaten by a "washed up" kessler just because he lost to ward?
