Awesome fight imho. Plenty of action and Marquez was superb and showed why he has p4p the best heart of any of the fighters out there.
Great fight, but definitely not FOTY, kind of like Froch/Kessler and Burns/Martinez. Really good fights but not FOTY.
Well I have to say it was the best fight I have seen in a while. November kind of gave Boxing the chance to redeem it's self from this lackluster year. We had a great performance by Pac, and surprise 1 punch KO by Martinez, and an amaing performance by both Marquez and Katsidis. Surprisingly the Froch AA fight sucked, every one thought that would have the best chance of FOTY.
Froch/Abraham had it's exchanges but I wouldn't say it sucked but it was completely one-sided and disappointing on Abraham's part. Froch put on a clinic I love fights like those. It wasn't colse to being FOTY but it was very good imo I loved it.
I didn't think it was that great of a fight. Katsidis showed some heart, but he got his ass kicked. The fight wasn't as close as people are making it out to be. I knew by the fourth round that Katsisdis had no chance in Hell of winning unless he knocked JMM out.
Yea I think Froch put on a good and unexpected performance, but at the same time everybody before the fight kept thinking it would be a slugfest with some one getting KTFO, we just kind of got hyped up for the wrong type of fight.
Absolutely. Fantastic fight, back and forth, both men hurt and showing heart, really really good action. Cazares-Nashiro II was great, but IMO this was just the higher caliber brawl.
It was too one sided to be FOTY. People are making it seem close but really Katsidis only won 1 maybe 2 rounds. Even in the KD round JMM came back to take control of that round.
What? One-sided? I suspect another pro-HBO fighter commentary. This was a very competitive fight and Marquez had to dig really deep to pull it off.
